Before<Before surgery>After<After surgery>After My usual nose condition = blunt and low whether seen from the side or the front ^^... ㅠㅠㅠ I don’t think my nostrils were that big, but maybe because the nasal tip/alar area was subtly large, it looked like a bulbous nose..
Since it was my first surgery, I really wanted to use septal cartilage, but among the clinics I consulted at, some said it would only improve if I used costal cartilage, so I started getting confused about the material... lololol Do I absolutely have to use costal cartilage vs what if the bulbous nose doesn’t get corrected without using costal cartilage.. the Jekyll and Hyde inside my mind started fighting....
Then I visited the last clinic lol I had heard that Director Kim had a very tsundere style and that his consultation style was to say only exactly what was needed, so I went into the consultation with a vague thought that maybe I could get the answer here..
As expected, I was told that using septal cartilage would be enough, but that partial osteotomy would be necessary..
After deciding on the clinic, I barely worried at all because I just felt certain, and when I consulted with the director again right before surgery, I basically said I’d be grateful if he could please do my rhinoplasty with a naturally glamorous feel... We carefully finalized the design again and went in
Before surgery, my nasal bridge was really low and had a somewhat steeply rising feel, but now it feels like it extends smoothly and straight.. Before, my facial proportions somehow looked off, but just by getting my nose well-balanced, I even got the effect of my proportions looking better.. I’m hearing a lot that my formerly stuffy-looking impression has become more refined
Especially, while comparing the photos I brought with my own nose, he explained what was possible and what wasn’t. Rather than telling me to do this and that surgery, he said that just these things would be enough, so there was no tiring process of worrying about and refusing extra recommendations
As for recovery too.. honestly, the only hard part was the cotton packed inside my nose, and maybe because of my constitution or whatever, the swelling went down faster than I expected just by using ice packs and drinking pumpkin juice (humidifier is essential, cotton was removed on day 2)
+Side-profile photo is a bonus. I’m so satisfied.
