I first had double eyelid surgery 5 years ago hehe
Only half a year after the surgery, one side of my double eyelid started coming undone, so I had revision surgery again on just that one side! After that, the height and length of the lines on both sides became different, but I just lived with it thinking, well, people’s faces are naturally asymmetrical~ Then the opposite eye gradually started coming undone too, so this year I ended up having a third revision surgery at another clinic!
When I went around for consultations 5 years ago, at Clinic 1, which I found online and visited, they said I had ptosis and told me to do ptosis correction together, and at Clinic 2, which I went to through an acquaintance, they said I could just do double eyelids.
But my acquaintance’s eyes turned out well, and I thought going through a referral might be a bit better, so I had surgery at Clinic 2. In the end, I guess my eyes really did need ptosis correction lol This time, when I went around to other clinics for eye consultations, they kept saying I open my eyes with my forehead lol
I don’t know if my double eyelids kept coming undone because the line was too low and mixed with the inner double eyelid I naturally had, or if it was because even after double eyelid surgery, my ptosis still wasn’t corrected, so my habit of opening my eyes with my forehead continued, and I kept having this feeling that I looked like I was frowning just from opening my eyes, but this time I really wanted them not to come undone, so I did epicanthoplasty and ptosis correction together, and raised the line slightly hehe
It’s hard to tell from those photos, but when I open my eyes wide, my eyes overall have become rounder, and before I had to try hard to open them that much, but now I can open them even while pressing my forehead down. It makes me wish I had looked into it and had the surgery earlier
But when I had surgery before, maybe because the line was so low, almost all the swelling went down in about a week and it looked natural, but now it’s been over 2 weeks and it still feels awkward, so I don’t know if that’s swelling, or if my eyes were originally thick and they didn’t remove enough fat, or if the line is too high and the surgery failed ㅠㅜ
My eyes have changed so much compared to before that every time I look in the mirror I can’t get used to them, and I wonder if this is what people call sausage eyes ㅠㅠ They also kind of look dazed lol Seeing as there’s still a pulling sensation when I open my eyes, it also seems like they’re still swollen... Well, it’s still only week 2, so I guess I should wait a bit longer, right? hehe
If it’s swelling, I hope it goes down a lot and becomes natural quickly ㅜㅜㅎㅎ Everyone, please wish me luck so I get prettier hehe ㅎㅎ
