Before<surgery before>Before<surgery before>After<3 weeks>After<3 weeks>After<1 month>When I got my first double eyelid surgery, I was really young and didn’t know anything, but since I’ve always been naturally timid, I kept getting swayed by people around me saying it wouldn’t look good if the line was set too high.. So I had the line made naturally.. haha As a result, the line completely came undone to the point where you couldn’t tell whether I had double eyelids or notㅠ I was thinking maybe pretty eyes were just out of reach for me, but as more and more friends around me had amazing double eyelid surgery results, I started wanting to try revision surgery again too. I had friends whose double eyelid lines turned out well at April 31 Plastic Surgery Clinic, so I got a hospital recommendation too and had a consultation with Director Oh Won-seok.
Learning from the failure of my first surgery, this time I went into the consultation determined to make it more glamorous, but the director said that just because something is glamorous doesn’t mean it’s always pretty, and that what suits me!! and what is possible for my eyes are what matter. He changed the line several times to suit my eye shape (protruding eyes..) and kept checking the design until one I liked came out, which moved me.. haha I had brought reference photos, but he didn’t just casually make a line without much thought; he really looked at everything carefully, so I felt I could trust him and I think that’s why I decided to go through with the surgery. I’m the type who swells a lot, and since I had revision surgery through an incision, I was a bit worried about whether the swelling would go down well. But the hospital also took good care of the aftercare, so I feel like I recovered faster than expected? If you look at my eyes at 3 weeks, even though there’s swelling, you can see the line was set nicely, right? haha
When I see people who’ve had double eyelid surgery, sometimes because of the swelling, it’s hard to tell whether the line is pretty or not, but in my case, everyone’s reaction was like, “Wow, once the swelling goes down, it’s going to look really natural and pretty, right?” so that made me even more excited.
Once it had been about a month since surgery, compared to week 3, it felt like the swelling had gone down a bit more. At my follow-up, the director said the swelling will go down even more from here, and once even the minor swelling completely settles, the puffy feeling above my eyes now will disappear and the line will become a bit more natural, so I’m holding out patiently.. It’s a bit bothersome, and because the weather is cold I haven’t been going out for walks, but I think I’ll need to walk diligently too for the final swelling-reduction spurt^^ Compared to when my first surgery came undone, it definitely seems like the double eyelid line is well defined now, right? haha
