It was my first surgery, and I was someone who only wanted to raise my nose, with no functional problems. But I didn’t want to use anything like a silicone implant.
They say nose surgery is really dangerous, so I worried a lot and went to many consultations. In the end, I decided to do it at ㄷㅌㅈ, and after that I stopped going to other consultations and stopped reading cafe posts too. Because I was afraid I’d keep wavering lol
My nose had never been operated on. It was a nose that had filler twice.
I said I wanted a higher nasal bridge and wanted my spread-looking nose to look slimmer. I said natural was good too, but I wanted it raised just a little more than natural. (Since everyone said Director ㅈㅎㄹ raises it naturally lolol)
Director ㅈㅎㄹ suggested exactly 2 options. 1. Septal cartilage + ear cartilage + temporalis fascia 2. Costal cartilage
But he recommended cleanly using costal cartilage.
Honestly, it’s not that I had never thought about costal cartilage, but I was still scared, so I said I absolutely hated costal cartilage. I told him to raise it as much as possible using septal cartilage/ear cartilage/temporalis fascia.
First, since the filler had to be dissolved, he told me to dissolve it and think about it a bit more. lolol About costal cartilage lol

I dissolved the filler with an injection one week before surgery. After about 2 days, as the filler dissolved, I had a reality check lolol Oh my god, seriously lolol I only put in a really small amount of filler, so why did it get this low?? lolol Do I really need to use costal cartilage.. I worried like crazy lolol But I was scared, so I didn’t want to use costal cartilage.
I had to do preoperative tests and went back to the hospital for another consultation. For the preoperative tests, I had a blood test, X-ray, and ECG.
I had another consultation with the director. He asked if I still wasn’t going to use costal cartilage lol I said to raise it as much as possible with temporalis fascia, ear cartilage, and septal cartilage. Instead, I said I would give up my greed for height.
Surgery day. They told me to come by 7:30 in the morning, so I went. lol They told me to wash my hair in the morning, so I scrubbed it thoroughly and went lol Since they do one surgery per day, it definitely felt like they were focusing on me lol I liked that lol I changed clothes, got an IV, took facial photos, and had another consultation with the director. He asked again if I wasn’t going to use costal cartilage.. Honestly, I wavered lol Maybe I should just use this one thing lolololol But I steadied myself and asked him to raise it as much as possible with ear cartilage, septal cartilage, and temporalis fascia.
Lastly, I asked the director for just one thing: “Please raise it generously as much as you can lololol”
And
I also asked the anesthesiologist for just one thing: “I just hope it doesn’t hurt. Just make it not hurt!!! lolololol”
I lay down on the operating table and heard someone say “You’re getting sleepy~,” but I don’t remember after that lolololololololololol
They kept calling my name and telling me to open my eyes, so I opened them and it was over (for reference, I had general anesthesia).
There were bandages on my forehead and ear. My nose was packed tightly with cotton, there was a splint, and gauze was attached under my nose.
Wow.. I understood why people care so desperately about packing. My mouth gets dry. My nose is completely blocked. I could endure it because they said they would remove the cotton the next day.. If they told me to keep this for 3 more days, I think I would have made a scene.
In the hospital room, I kept waking up and falling asleep repeatedly. Around the time it hurt, they gave me painkillers on their own, and they woke me up from time to time to check on me. Around discharge, a nurse told me I could drink water and brought me a cup.. I thought she was an angel lololol The water tasted like honey lol Wow lolololol
Before discharge, I received disinfection from the director one more time and was discharged. All night, I kept waking and sleeping/./ I think I barely slept lololol
They told me to come by 8 a.m. the next day, but I went super early lololol To ask them to remove the cotton lololol After they removed the cotton and disinfected it...... this was a whole new world lolol Seriously lololol Breathing through the nose is really lolololol Oh, and removing the cotton hurt less than I expected!
But the nurse said my nose would get blocked again for a week... I was so scared
Oh, and I was glad the swelling wasn’t as bad as I expected, but they said it would continue swelling until day 3.. Damn lol What if it swells more from here??
They said if I came again on day 4, they would disinfect it and remove the head bandage, so I said okay and went home.
While I was at home, my nose was blocked and I had so much runny nose.. Is it just me... I called and asked if this was normal, and they said it was They told me to endure it for just one week. They say one week, but still.
And finally day 4!!!!! I visited the hospital. They removed the head bandage and disinfected my nose. My nose opened up again. It was a whole new world. I could smell well too lololol
But they said it would get blocked again.......
They told me to come back at week 1 to remove the stitches, so I went home again.
This hospital does surgery in the morning and starts consultations from 3 p.m., so I asked them to see me as the first afternoon patient lol At 3.
They removed the stitches from my head, the stitches from my ear, and the stitches from my nose, and disinfected everything too.. When they placed the mirror right in my hand.. I couldn’t look right away lol I was so nervous..
As soon as I looked in the mirror, I said exactly one thing: “I hope the swelling doesn’t go down anymore lolololololololololololol”
Now that my nasal bridge is defined, it also has an effect like medial epicanthoplasty, and I really like it. I included photos, so please refer to them!
Anyway, today is day 10 for me, and it feels like such a waste that the swelling is going down Everyone says it gets better once the swelling goes down, but why does it feel so wasteful to me lololol
Ah! And doing makeup is so much more fun lololol Since my T-zone is defined, I don’t need highlighter or contour shading. Taking photos is really fun now lolol
