Clinic consultation review for eyes with a narrow distance between the eyebrows and eyes: forehead lift, eyes…

<Surgical progress>This is my first review in this community haha I hope it helps other people. I’m now in my mid-20s! Six years ago, when I was in high school, I had incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and epicanthoplasty at a clinic near my house, and I lived fairly satisfied with it. But I felt it was a little disappointing that it was too natural, and the line kept getting lower, so I considered revision surgery. One year ago, I went around to 7 plastic surgery clinics for consultations. (I’m attaching the clinic consultation review as a file because it may stray a bit from the point of this post.)

The clinic I had the highest hopes for while going around for consultations a year ago recommended a forehead lift. A forehead lift for someone in their 20s? I came for eye surgery, but a forehead lift??? I was thrown into total confusion. Other clinics even criticized it, asking why anyone would recommend a lift to someone in their 20s, and everyone said different things, so I ended up postponing the surgeryㅠ

When the season came around again this year, I read some papers in my own way and looked at more forehead lift reviews from people in their 20s than there had been a year ago, and decided to have the surgery. Both the consultant and the director from the clinic that had recommended the forehead lift had opened a new clinic. There was no waiting, and because it was one director and one consultant, I think the consultation was almost entirely with the director and lasted just under an hour. After deciding, I had the surgery almost right away, and now I’m on day 10.

Day of surgery: I was very worried about vomiting, motion sickness, and dizziness, but maybe because I had a scopolamine patch on during surgery, I had none of it. Compared with my first surgery, I don’t think my eyes hurt that much either. There was a little bleeding. It was done under sedation, and they woke me up in the middle, stitched once, had me open my eyes, stitched once, had me open my eyes... I was half-asleep, but the director gave me a storm of praise and reassurance while doing it lol “Oh, you deserve to become pretty! You’re enduring it well! Aww, good job,” things like that, so even while half-asleep it was funny. During my first surgery, they scolded me to relax my eyes, so this was so, so sweet, and I felt reassured during surgery.

Day 1: The pain was less than I expected, but... the swelling was truly insane. I couldn’t open my eyes ㅠㅠ It was hard to eat, and it was uncomfortable because it felt like blood was rushing to the area. I just couldn’t open my eyes..

Day 2: The swelling got even crazier, and I thought, wow, it can swell this much. Bruising also started from this point, and blood vessels in my eye also burst.. I did cold compresses almost all day long, trying somehow to survive.

Day 3: It didn’t swell more, but the bruising got worse, and I could barely open my eyes? Before, it was hard to open my eyes because the area above my eyes was swollen; now the swelling had moved down, so from the under-eye aegyo-sal area to the front cheeks was swollen, making it hard to open my eyes. It felt like I was being forced to make smiling eyes lolol

Day 4: I worked hard on compresses and walked a lot, so most of the swelling went down and it was easier to open my eyes. It was Christmas, and it didn’t get in the way of having fun with my roommates.. haha My eyes also got dry often, so I used artificial tears frequently and applied bruise cream diligently.

Day 5: Originally, the forehead lift stitches were supposed to be removed at one week, and only the eye stitches on day 5, but my recovery was fast, so they just removed everything at once! After I went to the clinic that day, I took a nap, and when I woke up, the swelling had gone down dramatically. As expected, it really feels like swelling drops quickly once the stitches are out.

After that: Now I think it’s a battle with bruising ㅠㅠ The burst blood vessel in my eye isn’t going away either... I’m mainly doing cold compresses and also steadily doing warm compresses. Most of the major swelling is gone, so I can roughly see the result, and I’m completely satisfied with the surgery. However, they say forehead lifts are overcorrected? at first, and I like it exactly as it is now, so I’m praying please, please don’t let it come down. Once the blood vessel in my eye goes away a bit and all the bruising is gone, I’ll leave another review with photos!
