I’m on day 5 today, and I had osteotomy, septal cartilage, and ear cartilage used. Maybe because it was an osteotomy, I get a sharp, stinging feeling when I eat or do things. Since both sides were osteotomized, my eyes feel pulled inward, my vision feels a bit dim, and it feels tight, so I also get intermittent headaches. I can accept that part. Surprisingly, there’s almost no swelling on my face, but the bloody nasal discharge in the photo is the problem. I’m wondering if it could be a hematoma? Like blood pooling on the bridge of my nose, but since it’s covered by the splint, I can’t tell From one nostril, there’s just some discharge-like nasal fluid, but from the other nostril, bloody nasal discharge comes out like in the photo. It’s not dripping continuously, but it keeps getting on there, so it’s bothering me so much I asked the hospital with a photo, and they said there was a lot of bleeding during surgery too and that it’s okay, but I’m still not reassured. If anyone has had a similar experience, please leave a comment (For reference, on day 4 when they removed the nasal packing, I bled a lot, so I went home and removed the hemostatic gauze there. My nasal blood vessels are naturally weak too)
