Hi, it’s been 2 weeks since my revision rhinoplasty, but my nose still looks big, so I’ve been checking the mirror every 5 seconds, then ran to the pharmacy, gulped down a bunch of swelling medicine, had a reality check, and now I’m posting these comparison photos.
I took them roughly with a Logitech webcam with the living room lights on, without thinking much, so please understand that the lighting values are different..
I really, really like the side-profile line. For real, it has that straight-line feel, kind of like a straight nose with a slight curve?? A straight line with the nasal tip slightly lifted, which is what I told the director I wanted before surgery..?? I don’t know how to describe it, but anyway, it’s the line I wanted! But the front view keeps bothering me, maybe because of the swellingㅠ
From the moment the splint was removed, I was flustered because my nose looked big. (During my first surgery, the shape was pretty as soon as the splint came off.. But after a few years, the nasal tip dropped and became blunt lol..) I thought taking comparison photos would help, so I’ve been taking them and watching the progress, and the swelling has definitely gone down, but...
It feels like there isn’t a big difference from before surgery.. Will the swelling go down more.. It’s starting not to hurt even when I touch it, so I’m also worried that this might be the final resultㅠ The shape isn’t straight either; it gets blunter toward the nasal tip,, An acquaintance who had surgery later than me is already slimming down nicely, and for my first surgery, my nose was pretty after just 2 weeks too (of course, it got less pretty over time), but this time my nose has kept looking big ever since the splint came off, so I’m just writing this out,,
They say swelling lasts longer with revision surgery, so I really hope that’s true. It’ll go down more within a month, right?ㅠ They say it continues to go down from 1 month to 6 months, but since there isn’t a dramatic difference between before surgery and week 2, I keep getting impatient. How did you all get through swelling after revision surgery..?
Oh, and they stitched both sides of my nose too. If you have osteotomy, do they usually stitch here as well? I don’t remember from my first surgeryㅠ If you look at the second photo, you’ll see the wounds next to my nose showing up like dots! I feel like other people don’t have stitch marks here, or am I wrong..
