Hello. This is my surgery review on day 5 after lateral canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty~!!
This hospital comes up a lot in searches and is well-known for lateral + lower canthoplasty, and since this surgical method is only available at this hospital, I thought I definitely had to go for a consultation. It was the first hospital I visited.. Before meeting the director, the counseling manager explained everything in detail, so I ended up choosing this hospital.
Honestly, the director seemed very busy, so I only saw him briefly on the day I went for the consultation, and then briefly again before the surgery, so you can assume there won’t be much time to see the director for long compared with other hospitals.. But for me, more than that, what mattered was whether the effect would really be clear, and in terms of the surgical method, unlike other hospitals, they explained that it would not reattach, and the director had confidence, so I chose it.
It is still only day 5, so I am really very swollen, but even so, I can see that the outer corners of my eyes have gone down. My eyes are very small, so I wasn’t expecting a dramatic effect, but I trusted that the director would open them up as much as possible and had the surgery. The surgery was done under deep sedation, and they said it is a stage between sleep sedation and general anesthesia. So there was no pain, but since the anesthesia was strong, the process of waking up from it made me nauseous and was very hard. They said that if it is done under sleep sedation, there can be pain in the middle, and if there is pain, I might naturally put tension into my eyes during surgery, so I chose deep sedation.
Today is day 5, and the first stitch removal was not extremely painful, and the manager in charge is kind.
