I got an orthodontic consultation because my protruding mouth was stressful.
After taking a CT scan, they said that because of a tooth I injured when I was young, there was a chance my front tooth might be ankylosed, and that they would only know after trying to move it.
They recommended extraction orthodontic treatment, but when I asked what would happen if I extracted teeth and then the teeth didn’t move, they said that in that case I would need implants, so I just gave up.
Even if the protruding mouth is stressful, I have more days ahead of me to live.
For those planning orthodontic treatment, I hope you definitely look into it well and compare whether it brings more benefit to you or whether the downside is bigger before doing it!
