Review 6 Years After Nasal Bridge Surgery

I had nose surgery in 2014. When I looked in the mirror, I vaguely thought things like, “My nose is too big?? It’s not pretty?? I want surgery...” At the time, I had just graduated from high school, and I only thought, “If my mom pays for the surgery, I’ll do it, and if not, well...” I wasn’t thinking about it very seriously, and I wasn’t desperate either. But then my mom suddenly said, “Do you want nose surgery???” and at that young age I said, “Yes!! Sounds good!!!” After that, my mom handled almost everything, from choosing the hospital to the consultation. I just said things like, “Um, I’d like my nose to be a bit smaller! And my nasal bridge seems a little bent; can anything be done about that??” I didn’t know exactly what method would be used for the surgery or even what the surgery was called. The doctor definitely explained it, but I just thought, “They’ll take care of it well~” and let it pass. So even now, I still don’t know exactly what was done to my nose I only roughly know that silicone was inserted into my nasal bridge and that I had nostril reduction... Now, 6 years later... I don’t have any major discomfort. But it has become crooked...... Even right after surgery, it looked a little crooked, but the doctor said it would get better over time??? But it gradually became more crooked, and now it feels like my nasal bridge has simply moved house.... to the side...... When I look at photos taken 1 year after surgery, it wasn’t crooked to this extent, but these days, when I eat with my family bare-faced in a bright place, it has shifted sideways noticeably enough for them to say, “Do you know your nasal bridge is crooked???”..... Now I’ve decided to look into things properly and get revision rhinoplasty after I understand at least a bit myself. Please don’t get surgery when you know nothing like I did; make sure to look into everything before getting it.
