I had 400 shots of Ultherapy on the jaw and cheeks, excluding the forehead, together with jaw Botox! It definitely has the effect of reducing face size and tightening the double chin right up. My jaw muscles are large, so I think I got 50 units? on each side of the jaw. The downside is that because the principle is to paralyze the muscles I originally used so they can’t be used, my jaw feels stiff. Around the time the Botox wears off, my jaw also feels stiff. The manager recommended doing Ultherapy once every 6 months, but this is absolutely! not! a procedure that needs to be done that often, and even if once or twice is okay, doing it like that long-term would cause too much high-intensity damage to the skin and muscles. Honestly, even once every 1.5 years has a good effect, and abroad (I currently live abroad), it’s a procedure recommended about once every 2 years. It’s true that the Botox amount should be adjusted according to the size of my jaw, but rather than doing a lot from the beginning, I think it’s better to gradually adjust the interval or amount in careful consultation with the doctor to reduce my jaw size as much as possible. When I got Botox here, since it was my first jaw Botox, I had a side effect where it looked like I was holding hard candy in my mouth, but as the Botox gradually spread, it disappeared after about 2 weeks. Right after Botox and Ultherapy, my face looked peanut-shaped, but this also became slimmer from after 1 month, and in photos, my face really looks tightly contoured. Even when I gain weight, it doesn’t go to my face. If I had gone to a doctor with a bit more experience or a famous doctor, I feel like they would have know-how to minimize early side effects that can happen (hard-candy look, peanut-shaped face), but the doctor here was kind, gentle, and thoughtful, though I don’t think they were highly experienced. Dermatology procedures themselves are not techniques with huge long-term side effects like surgery, so if you’re the type who doesn’t get elated or upset over every little change like me, it’s fine to go. I don’t recommend it if you’re sensitive and the type who worries every second about how your face looks. Clinic: Chai Clinic in Hapjeong-dong (it doesn’t come up in autocomplete)
