Male abdominal LAMS one-month review

After<After>Before<Before>As I’ve gotten older, I haven’t been losing weight like I used to, so I was debating between liposuction and fat-dissolving/extraction injections.

But with liposuction, I heard you have to wear a compression garment and can’t return to daily life right away. Since I’m an office worker, it was hard to clear my schedule for a stretch, and I was also worried about side effects, so I decided on LAMS because they said I could resume daily life right away.

Before LAMS, only my belly stuck out, so whenever I dressed, I had no choice but to wear oversized fits. Especially in summer, when clothes get thinner, it was even more stressful...

I had read posts saying the anesthetic injection hurt the most during LAMS, but the injection wasn’t that bad? When they scraped out the fat and removed it with a syringe, my view was blocked so I couldn’t see it, but rather than painful, it felt unpleasant?

When I saw the fat they had removed, it was less than I expected, so I wondered if my belly would really go in from taking out just that much. Right after the procedure, my waist felt tight when wearing clothes because of the swelling, and around the 1-week mark, the bruising got darker and there were marks where the gauze had been, so I was slightly on the verge of regretting it, but it was surprising because I had lost 3-4 kg. I didn’t diet that strictly though...

I normally don’t eat breakfast, and for lunch I ate things like gukbap as usual. For dinner, I ate things like cherry tomatoes, baked eggs, and vegetables. I skipped exercise because I was busy.

Then around week 2, the bruising was almost gone and I could see my belly had gone in a bit. But I wasn’t satisfied, so I wondered if I had really spent money and time just to lose this little, and when I went to the hospital and asked, they said at least about a month has to pass. There was also some lumpiness, and after I went to the hospital for aftercare, it got much better.

Now I’m entering week 4, and my belt has gone down by two holes. I think my weight has also gone down by almost 10 kg. They said it takes another 2-3 months to see the full effect, but I’m relieved that I’m losing it faster than I expected.

This year, I’m going to build abs, lose more weight, and try wearing clothes that aren’t oversized.
