I have a round bulbous nose shape, with a straight-to-slightly-curved line where the nasal tip is higher than the bridge. I had nose bridge filler once 7 years ago.
I looked for clinics that would preserve this shape as much as possible and went for consultations. (Wannabe photo: Oh Yeon-seo!)
Clinic A was my first consultation. Both the consultant and the director had rather short consultation times. When I brought photos of Oh Yeon-seo and an influencer and asked, they said they would slightly raise the nasal tip with septal cartilage and use ear cartilage for the bridge that was lacking. If I wanted, they would slightly narrow the nostrils with an internal alar reduction. The price was very affordable, and next week Monday or Saturday was available right away. For photos, they took 1 side-profile photo of me with a pad and 1 side-profile photo of my wannabe look for comparison. No CT scan was taken. They felt the filler by hand. Consultant -> It seems to be gone. Director -> It’s almost gone.
Clinic B was a place where 3 acquaintances had surgery, so I went. Director S has a firm personality. I asked some questions and kept getting scolded ^.ㅜ All of my acquaintances were recommended silicone + donated costal cartilage + ear cartilage. For reference, all three have different shapes, but they received the same recommendation. (My guess is that many people come for revision surgery because of the shape, so from the start they seem to build it sturdily..) I said I wanted to do it only with ear cartilage and silicone, not donated costal cartilage or autologous costal cartilage, and he said then the shape I want absolutely won’t come out,, But the part I don’t understand is, my nasal tip is already high to begin with, so the silicone is being put into the bridge, and if the tip is raised even more with donated costal cartilage, I think it’ll be too high. It seems like slightly raising it with ear cartilage and matching the rest of the bridge with silicone would work.. Anyway, the consultant said it seemed possible ^^.. I got a discount for booking the same day + through an acquaintance, and the surgery is scheduled for a weekday next week.
I was originally supposed to go for a consultation at another clinic too, but because it was the weekend they closed early, and the Clinic B consultation was almost 1 hour in total.. so I couldn’t go.
It’s next week and I’m nervous.....
