Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Anyone with a severe hump nose, come in... (super long post)

Before <before surgery><day of surgery> After <1 month after surgery!!!!> My long-time concern... my hump nose... I got surgery!! I had heard a lot that nose surgery is risky, and I actually saw a friend of mine suffer because of revision surgery after getting nose surgery, so I thought about it a lotㅜㅠ Then I found a few clinics that had good results on noses similar to mine, went around for consultations, and ended up getting surgery.

Today marks one month, and the swelling is milder than I expected and the line is so pretty, so I thought I’d write a review! As you can see from the photos, my nasal hump was really severe and my nose was big tooㅜㅠ.. My younger sibling even said my side profile looked like a Moai statue... The hump was really blunt and long, so every time I uploaded photos I edited them a ton, and side-profile selfies were something I could never even dream of...

I had surgery at a clinic in Apgujeong. The consultation atmosphere was so nice and I was satisfied! I made a clinic appointment by phone and went for a consultation on the weekend. Since it was the weekend, there definitely were a lot of people. The inside of the clinic was also very clean and had a cozy atmosphere. I filled out the first-visit form by hand, and after a little while they guided me to get a CT scan. *Here’s a tip: if you’re going for a nose consultation and the clinic does CT scans, it’s better to remove piercings and things like that beforehandㅜㅠㅋㅋ I didn’t know I’d be getting a CT, so I was trying to remove my piercing on the spot, it wouldn’t come out easily, and it was just hecticㅋㅋㅋㅋ Then I waited a bit, and the consultant guided me in and we had the consultation. She first listened to my general concerns, explained what kind of surgery my nose would need, I showed her the photos I brought and said I wanted it like this~ and so on. I had already selected a specific director, so after the consultation with the consultant, I waited a little again and had a consultation with the director! This was the clinic where I liked the consultation with the director the most! He showed me the CT images, and even looking at the bone image, I was shocked once again by how severe my hump wasㅜㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋㅋ The director explained that during nose surgery he would shave down the hump, use the nasal septum, and that osteotomy would also be good. I told him I had some resistance to implants, especially costal cartilage, and he reflected my opinion. I showed photos and said I didn’t want an overly flashy, pointy nose. Because I was someone who was stressed about my side profile, I also said that more than the front-view effect, I wanted a dramatic effect from the side profile. As I asked various questions and listened to the surgical explanation, almost 20 minutes had passedㅋㅋㅋㅋ I really liked that he kindly explained the surgical method too. I had another consultation with the consultant about the cost and surgery schedule, and at that time I had consultation appointments at other clinics too, so I didn’t set a surgery date. They said that if I at least placed a deposit before leaving, they would honor the quoted price, and if I changed my mind, they would refund it. Anyway, I went for consultations at two more clinics, but this place explained the surgery the best, did a CT scan, and I was satisfied with the in-depth consultation with the director, so I called again and set the surgery date!

From here is the surgery review! They told me to come fasting on the day of surgery, so I ate a hearty meal of chicken the day beforeㅋㅋㅋㅋ I had surgery in the first time slot, so I went to the clinic from the morning. First, I confirmed the surgical details again with the consultant. I filled out the consent form and went down to the surgery floor! I consulted with the director again, had the design done, waited, and then was guided into the operating room! Once I actually went into the operating room, I got so, so, so, so nervousㅋㅋㅠㅠㅠ My hands were trembling the whole timeㅋㅋㅋㅋ The nurse attached the heart-rate monitor, and even the beeping sound felt scaryㅜㅠ Anyway, they reassured me that once I fell asleep and woke up, it would be over! After the surgery, I opened my eyes in the recovery room, and my nose felt su~per heavyㅜㅠㅋㅋ It was wrapped tightly in bandages too, so breathing was so uncomfortableㅜㅠ It hurt, but it was pain I could tolerate! The next day I went to the clinic, got dressing care, had one swelling laser treatment, and they removed the cotton from inside my nose. Once there was no cotton inside my nose, it was so comfortable...ㅜㅠ!! The clinic also gave me pumpkin juice and ice packs, so I used those for cold compresses throughout the full 2 weeks! Removing the stitches was less painful than I had worried too!

One-month review Now the major swelling has all gone down, and I’m just waiting for the minor swelling to go down! I heard somewhere that Elas-A helps reduce swelling, so for the first week after surgery I took it often! Very expensive little thing... Maybe because of that, or maybe because the director did the surgery well, my friends even say it doesn’t look like one-month swellingㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Even when I check in the mirror, the scar on my nose isn’t really enough to bother me. And the side profile that I asked the director for before surgeryㅜㅠㅠ I’m so, so moved, reallyㅡㅜㅠㅠㅠ I can hardly believe my nose has become smooth... I’m happy that the hump I struggled with for such a long time is gone!!

For those of you who are concerned about a hump nose like I was, I hope this post helps~ I hope everyone also goes to lots of consultations and gets surgical results you’re satisfied with>< If the response is good, I definitely want to bring a two-month review too
