Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

Review of the double eyelid surgery I got today (incision, ptosis correction, upper canthoplasty)

I got incisional double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty.

<Process> The director carefully designed the line, then anesthesia and surgery were done. After surgery, I did cold compresses in the recovery room and went home by taxi. (Before surgery I was planning to take the subway, but after seeing how I looked after surgery, I couldn’t even think about it.)

<Anesthesia> They put me to sleep briefly with sedation, administered local anesthesia, and then proceeded with surgery. At first I was really worried because I thought they would do local anesthesia directly on my bare eyelids, but thankfully that wasn’t the case!

<Surgical pain> During surgery: Even though it’s local anesthesia, you can feel things like stitching with a needle or laser. It’s just a prickling level of pain, but the psychological pressure is significant.

After surgery: My eyes feel slightly stiff + tightness after ptosis correction + I also have a mild headache.

<Side effects on the day of surgery> There is bleeding from the stitch on the right upper canthoplasty area, and there is bruising on this side too. Still, things like this are temporary, so I feel reassured, but.. Because my eyes are asymmetrical, I think the director did more ptosis correction on the left than the right, saying my left eye doesn’t open well.. When my left eye closes, the white of my eye shows ㅠㅠ sob sob..

<What was disappointing> - I wanted to show photos and explain the line I wanted, but I didn’t get the chance to show the photos. Still, it was good that I told them what kind of line I wanted and they designed it accordingly. - The clinic looked so busy. ㅠㅠ They said A/S is available for up to 2 years, but I’m a little worried they’ll just tell me to wait until the swelling goes down and then end up ignoring me.. (It seems like there are many clinics like that. Of course, this is just my worry.)

<What was good> The facilities and care, such as a private recovery room, waiting room, swelling laser, and care box, were systematic and well organized. After the surgery, the director came to the recovery room and checked one more time to see if I was okay.
