Hello? I got help from posts in this community before going, so I wanted to leave a post too.
It was a revision rhinoplasty, and about 10 years ago, was it 15 mm? I don’t even rememberㅜㅜ I had it done in Cheongdam with only an L-shaped silicone implant inserted, but I developed inflammation, so I had it removed right away the following year.
But after removing it, I missed my old nose lol, and my nostrils had become asymmetrical, so I felt a bit disappointed. Then this year, after passing thirty, I thought, let’s fix my nose one last time as a commemoration! Honestly, I could have lived with that nose without thinking much of it, but I had some regrets, so I went ahead and did it.
I was most scared of and hated the idea of revision surgery and side effects, so while searching, I went to Dr. ㄱㅇㅈ. I did visit a few other places, but this was my top pick, so the others didn’t really catch my eye. They said they would use ear fascia, so I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about side effects! I heard he has been in the same Apgujeong location for 15 years, so I thought I could trust him and just went. So I think my nasal bridge was done only with posterior auricular fascia. I’ll go today and ask whether he used ear cartilage too.
The surgery took about two and a half hours, and at first, when sedation + local anesthesia started, I had such severe hallucinations that I wondered if this was what dying felt like. Then when I woke up, they were cutting my earㅠㅠ sob sob. Still, having surgery while conscious, listening to music and talking, felt fascinating, and it was reassuring that he was doing the surgery himself!!
I rested after it ended and then left. Other than a lot of blood and runny discharge coming from my nose + struggling to remove the dried blood running behind my head, I don’t have much discomfort. I think the first time I had surgery, it was hard because it hurt.
I’ll write another review! I’ll upload photos after removing the splint.
