Before before<photo before revision surgery>After<after revision surgery, week 1>After<after revision surgery, week 2>After<before surgery, 2-week side-view before/after>First surgery method: Incision -Since I live outside Seoul, going all the way to Seoul at first felt too burdensome, and I thought, “Can’t double eyelid surgery be done locally?” so I had it done at a local clinic. (I was careless.. lol If I could turn back time, seriously.. I would absolutely not go to that clinic) -I really, really, really.. said I didn’t want to be greedy and just wanted to make double eyelids with an in-out line. But from the beginning the lines were uneven, and the clinic kept only saying it would be resolved once the swelling went down, so it was so frustrating. In the end, no matter how much time passed, it stayed the same. lol The left side was in-out, the right side was semi-out, and even that looked sausage-like, so even after double eyelid surgery my eyes looked smaller. It was basically just that lines had been created
Revision surgery consultations: I visited many famous clinics in Seoul (4 places including the clinic where I had surgery) -Because it was revision surgery, I looked into it very carefully due to the cost + worries + time burden. Even when I went for consultations, I didn’t decide right away and only listened carefully to the explanation + cost before leaving. -Among them, to talk about the consultation at the clinic where I had surgery.. I liked that the director didn’t immediately start by marking a line, but first looked for the cause of why my eyes had become sausage eyes. When I said I wanted the line lowered and made into an in-out line, he said that since both eyes were currently uneven, he recommended matching the lines through incision, and because I was opening my eyes using my forehead muscles, he also recommended ptosis correction together. The consultation was also very long
★★I liked that it was an eye-specialized clinic (especially the before/after revision cases were good), that it was a one-doctor clinic so there was no proxy surgery, and that the consultation wasn’t just roughly marking a line and ending it, but the explanation was thorough. They also had various aftercare options, so the burden of revision surgery felt a little lighter. ★★
Revision surgery method: Incision + ptosis correction -On the day of surgery, the director carefully marked the line again. He was extremely meticulous with the design -On the first day, I had yellow bruising too, and when opening and closing my eyes there was a stiff, aching feeling, but I thought recovery was important, so rather than worrying, I diligently did warm/cold compresses and went for walks whenever I had time. -Every time I went to the clinic for treatment and disinfection, they applied ophthalmic ointment and did a swelling laser treatment. (I felt that it wasn’t a place that only says during consultation, “we have lots of aftercare~”) -They said that to recover quickly, it’s good to sleep with the head slightly elevated, so I listened well to the director. lol The bruising lasted about a week, and from the second week I lived without worrying too much. For now, I was satisfied just that it became the in-out line I wanted.....
I think this is the clinic that completely broke my thought of “Do I really have to get plastic surgery in Seoul?” Of course, it is an eye-specialized clinic, and compared with other places, the AS and aftercare system are better, so I feel like I benefited..... Anyway, I’m still very much recovering, but I’m so satisfied that the line has been lowered ㅜㅜ
