It’s been a little over 3 years since I got braces, and I wouldn’t really recommend it. First of all, I’d recommend it for treatment purposes, not for cosmetic purposes. I did it for cosmetic reasons, but... for how painful it was and how hard it was to manage, the result wasn’t satisfyingㅠㅠ Wearing the retainer was annoying and painful too, so for someone like me who is lazy overall, it was hard.
