During my previous surgeries, the necrosis that everyone is so worried about actually happened to me....
I never imagined something like this would happen to me... I felt completely lost, contacted the clinic, and went in right away the next day.
The director said there was a risk of infection and that suturing had to be done externally, so I underwent suturing surgery that same day. I had asked them to preserve the shape as much as possible, but wound treatment was the top priority over shape, so we focused on suturing.
What was even more of a problem than the suturing was,
from the side view, my nasal tip looked like it had been completely sliced off with a knife ㅠ From that moment, it felt like depression and panic were exploding like crazy. What am I supposed to do about this.. They said I had to wait at least 6 months before revision surgery, and I kept thinking, how am I supposed to go outside with this nose...
Even after the stitches were removed, the wound did not heal as cleanly as expected, so the scar looked pretty messy.
Around then, my wife said she wanted to get rhinoplasty, and although the clinic I had gone to was famous, my result at that point was not good, so I didn’t feel comfortable recommending it. So I recommended a place where someone I knew had turned out very well.
My wife’s surgery went so well that it made me think a lot. The clinic where I had my previous surgery said they would provide after-service after 6 months.. Of course it would cost much less, but my trust in them had already fallen so much that I eventually decided to have my revision surgery at the clinic where my wife had surgery.
As you can see from the photos, my condition was at its worst because of necrosis.
Afterward, I had a consultation at the clinic where my wife had surgery, and after looking at the condition of my nose, the director immediately said surgery would be difficult. (My heart sank.)
Not only was the skin in the area that had necrosed and healed different from normal skin, but the internal tissues were also very hard and had many issues. So I received PRP treatment once a week for 6 sessions to stretch and regenerate the tissues in that area as much as possible before going into surgery.
After surgery, I continued receiving PRP regenerative treatment, and the scar is now almost gone. As far as I remember, the materials used for surgery were autologous costal cartilage, Surgiform, ear cartilage, and AlloDerm!
I am very satisfied with my current surgical result.
What I’m just as satisfied with as the surgical result is the care I received, from PRP regeneration before surgery to the surgery itself and the aftercare afterward. I was truly very touched by how meticulous the manager, front-desk staff, and nurses were.
I was also very grateful that the director personally checked everything and managed my care every time I visited after surgery at intervals of 2 to 3 days.
Maybe because I had been extremely stressed at the previous clinic over service and management issues, it hit me even more deeply.
