<------After surgery---------------------------------Before surgery------>It seems many people look into implant-free surgery because they don’t want foreign materials put into their nose, and I was the same. My original nasal bridge wasn’t extremely low, and I only wanted to correct the blunt part of my nasal tip, so I had cartilage tying + fibrous tissue removal surgery. When I took comparison photos after one month, honestly I didn’t feel a huge difference. That makes sense because I didn’t raise or shave down my nose, so compared with my original nose, there really wasn’t a major difference. However, I did see differences in two areas, and overall I’m satisfied with the result. First, my nasal tip cartilage was excessively spread apart, so there was a split-looking area. Because of this, my nasal tip looked very wide, and the tip, which should protrude slightly, had a flat shape. But after surgery, the nasal tip gained a slight volume like a typical nose, and the split-looking area disappeared. Second, if you look at the alar area, before surgery there didn’t seem to be much contour between it and the nasal bridge, but after surgery, the tied area helped bring out the contour.
Honestly, because my nasal tip cartilage was very spread apart to begin with, I think I was able to see even this subtle effect. If your nasal tip is like a typical case, I think you may not feel a big change after cartilage tying.
