I'll briefly write about the process + pain + inconveniences
I had the nasal bridge (silicone), nasal tip (septal cartilage), nostril reduction, and nostril lowering done
Right after surgery: After waking up from sedation anesthesia, my throat was so dry it felt like it was burning. I wanted to drink water, but they told me to drink it two hours later. This part was really difficult. After waking from anesthesia, I was disoriented, my throat was dry, and I couldn't breathe,, I couldn't sleep because I couldn't breathe, so I just sat still and spaced out for an hour. Then the anesthesia wore off. And I was discharged right away
Post-op day 1: There was no pain at all at the surgical site,, but still not being able to breathe and having a dry throat were so painful and uncomfortable. Because I couldn't breathe, I barely slept the first day. I think I slept about 2 hours. I took my medication and also drank pumpkin juice with it, and I kept doing cold compresses. Even when sleeping or resting, I was always sitting up. Bloody mucus kept coming out of my nose. I swallowed it down my throat and kept spitting it out through my mouth. For meals, I only had porridge for one out of three meals. I think I barely had swelling because I barely slept
Post-op day 2: On day 2, they removed the cotton from my nose. Pain enough to make my eyes water a little? More than pain, the refreshing feeling was stronger. Even after they removed the cotton from my nose, my nose quickly got blocked with mucus ㅠㅠ Mucus was still coming out little by little, and I diligently wiped it with tissues. I took my medicine diligently and kept doing cold compresses. I also went for walks twice a day, at night and dawn, for 20 minutes each. I kept drinking pumpkin juice every time I took medicine. The swelling was almost no different from day 1. I ate porridge for all three meals
Post-op day 3: The swelling moved down from my cheekbones to my cheeks. Still, I think I have very little swelling. I can feel my right nostril is very slightly open. Not enough to breathe through my nose. There was still no pain at the surgical site. I consistently managed it with cold compresses + pumpkin juice + walks For meals, I ate porridge and regular food (seaweed soup). From day 3 onward, except when eating, I didn't have mucus coming out.
Post-op day 4: The swelling in my cheeks decreased a bit, and yellow bruising started to appear around my eyes. On day 4, both sides of my nose opened up. Just like yesterday, it is not open enough to breathe through. From day 4, I could gradually taste food a little. Since bruising started to show, I started doing warm compresses from today. Because I kept breathing through my mouth, the inside of my mouth got very dry and inflammation developed around my tonsils. I managed it using gargle
