From 2022 to 2023, because of inflammation, I said goodbye to silicone that had been in for over 10 years, and since I couldn’t have revision surgery right away, I had the implant removed and after about a 1-year rest period, at the end of January 2024, I underwent revision revision rhinoplasty using only autologous costal cartilage without any implant. Until before this latest surgery, the surface sensation on the skin over the left nasal bridge had not returned, so I had a consultation about whether surgery could proceed in that condition. The nasal tip drooping had become somewhat severe, so this time, at another hospital on December 10, they used the existing autologous costal cartilage and added only ear cartilage to raise the nasal tip more, and I had a more dramatic fourth revision rhinoplasty. (Since CT also confirmed that a slight hump remained only on the right side of the nasal bridge, and I had heard that even that small difference could make the nasal tip look crooked, I requested that the hump be shaved down.) Also, as the nasal tip drooped, the tip spread out, and because my nose was already very long, I clearly told them that my concern was that my midface looked long. The surgery went well.. While recovering at home, with the splint still on, I was leaning diagonally against the bed, watching TV with the glasses-shaped ice pack the hospital gave me placed on my forehead. Then it fell onto my face, and unfortunately fell toward my nose. I still had the splint on then, you know? I told the hospital right away, and they said it would be okay. After that, at week 1, the splint was removed. The tape was removed. The external stitches were removed. From the outside.. as long as the stitches inside the nose weren’t visible, well, from a distance you couldn’t really tell I’d had surgery.. But my nose. My nose.. gradually started becoming crooked.. When I went back on my visit day, I could feel the hump on the right side too, and the hump area was bulging. The left nasal tip was bulging. The right diagonal line was pretty, but the left diagonal line... the line was.. strange..The outer skin on the left also had no sensation. And unfortunately something also appeared on the left nasal tip, so I was worried whether cartilage was protruding. Also, unfortunately when the ice pack fell, I turned my head to the left, and the ice pack gave more impact to the left nasal tip.. With all these thoughts, I’m worried, so I’m posting this with photos attached. If anyone might know, please leave a comment. The hospital where I had surgery only says it turned out well.. and that it’s probably scar tissue. The surgical area is extremely hard, and the nasal tip even looks slightly bluish.. I’m so worried.. )Could taping possibly correct the bump? The hospital where I had surgery won’t do it for me. Could I try doing it myself by watching YouTube?.)
