It’s been a while since I went, but I’ll summarize my consultation reviews for lower and lateral canthoplasty.
It was my first surgery, but I looked into places that are known to be as good as possible and that also do eye revision surgeries. All the places I went to were not old-style methods that destroy the gray line and cause a ㄷ-shaped deformity, but each had a different method. I also referred to reviews on a community and the Babitalk app.
1. ㄷㅂㅇ When sorting Babitalk reviews from lowest rating, among the four places, this one didn’t really have the worst reviews. I went after seeing reviews saying they explain it in stages like angle or adjustment using A, B, C, but I didn’t hear that. The explanation was that they lower the upper and lower parts at once. Among the four places, the stitch area was the longest. Through an app review, 890,000? won. It was the cheapest, and AS was an additional 300,000 won. No separate aftercare. Stitches removed after one week, and return visit after one month to check progress.
2. ㅅㅅ Among the four places, the incision area was the smallest. They make a slight cut above, and for the lower part, they turn over the inside of the mucous membrane and pull from the two areas, upper and lower. There were app reviews mentioning side effects or other things they didn’t like, but when I asked about side effects, they confidently said it wasn’t that kind of surgery and that I didn’t need to worry at all. The consultant said the same. 1.43 million won. AS is free for 1 year? Stitches after one week. They provide scar-tissue injections and laser care.
3. ㅇㅆ The incision site remains slightly like the shape of the outer eye corner, but it didn’t seem to remain that much. The way of speaking was blunt, but they explained while measuring various things with a ruler. 1.32 million won Only this place did not do sedation anesthesia and proceeded only with local anesthesia. So you can stay awake in your right mind and check your shape with the doctor midway. Stitches after one week. Free AS. No other aftercare.

No matter where you go, there are reviews about side effects or dissatisfaction. In my opinion, since these four places even do revisions, they seem like places where major deformities such as ㄷ-shaped deformity do not occur. Of course, it will only be possible if your own eye shape, the doctor’s condition and luck, your needs, etc. all line up. Everyone says their surgery is different from other hospitals, but if you study even a little, you’ll know that there are almost no hospitals now that operate using the old method. Still, everyone’s methods are slightly different, so the areas where scars remain are all different too. I hope you choose carefully before doing it, and I hope you think carefully about what you want before doing it. Also, most places didn’t give a student discount, but exactly one place did, so that was the price. I don’t remember which one. The other places are all prices based on writing a review.
