Like in the before photo, it looked natural when my eyes were open, but only my left eye had a slightly pinched feeling.
The line had come down a lot, so I went to this hospital just to raise the line a little more.
I went around to several places for consultations, and one place sent me back saying I didn’t necessarily need to do it. It was DH near Apgujeong Station. I should have listened to that person.
In early 2023, I had double-eyelid surgery by incision again. After doing it, step-like scars appeared on both sides. And the lacrimal caruncles, which hadn’t been visible before, became visible too.
There was no medication prescription. On the first day of double-eyelid surgery, they gave me an ice pack, and then gave me bandages and gauze, telling me to wrap my eyes tightly with bandages for a week until the stitches were removed. That was the end of postoperative care.
Then they said that for the double-eyelid line to settle well, I should rub my eyes starting one month later. Seriously.
I wanted my eyes to settle prettily, so I rubbed them as the doctor said, and then milia developed.
After 6 months, when I complained about the step-like scars, they told me not to worry because they would come down by the 1-year mark. They also said that if I didn’t like it, they would do revision surgery again if I paid 2.5 million won.
So I lived with milia and scars for a year. After 1 year, I went back with the condition unchanged, and only then did they say they would do a free revision, so in early 2024 I had revision surgery here.
The milia disappeared. But the step-like scars are the same, and my eyes also don’t close even more now. As you can see in the after photo, it just looks disfiguring.
So now I’m looking for a place that is good at medial epicanthoplasty scar treatment and reconstruction. I’m truly desperate. If anyone had eyes similar to mine and improved, please share hospital information with me… I refuse hospital promotions.
