I had a consultation for the incisional method, and it’s been a few days since I had it done by incision. I’m relieved that there is less bruising and swelling than I expected. But when I looked closely at the stitches, there was no incision line. It’s my first time having an incision, so I don’t know, but is this right? Doesn’t an incision literally mean cutting the skin with a scalpel and then suturing it? No matter how closely I look, the stitches are just there like they were sewn onto bare skin. Is this what an incision is usually like? I’m asking because I really don’t know.
