It’s been about 4 months since I had fat extraction injections on my upper arms! For both arms combined, they only removed about 220 cc of pure fat. (Not because I didn’t have fat, but because of the pressure of the price...)
To say the conclusion first, after removing 220 cc, it’s: “It’s not that there’s no effect at all, but if you want to see a real effect, surgery is a hundred times better!!”
The clinic manager explained to me that arm fat extraction injections differ only in whether anesthesia is used and how much volume is removed, and in fact it’s almost fair to consider them liposuction surgery. (They said that if you want to have liposuction surgery after having these extraction injections, it would actually count as revision surgery.)
But at the time, I was afraid of surgery and didn’t have the time to deal with anesthesia, surgery, and everything else, so I chose injections instead of surgery. ㅠㅠ
But as I said earlier, aside from not using anesthesia, the process was almost the same as surgery, so having fat extracted while I was fully conscious(?) seriously made me want to die...^^ It was so scary. The moment I entered the operating room, I thought, “Ah, I should’ve just gone under anesthesia and had surgery.” Fortunately, maybe because the doctor had good technique, it didn’t end painfully...ㅎㅎ
But if I had had more time... if I could turn back time... I think I would have chosen surgery...^ㅅ^. . . Of course, if you do a large volume with extraction injections, you can see the same effect as surgery, but extraction injections are priced by the bottle, so to get an effect comparable to liposuction surgery, the cost burden increases significantly...
Afterward, instead of a compression garment?? I just had to keep something like a compression band on for about a day and then remove it. Since only a little fat was removed, my arms just felt slightly tight and bruised, and it didn’t greatly interfere with daily life! They said the fluid injected together during fat extraction could leak, but that didn’t really happen to me. The swelling + bruising gradually went down within a week, and they said the effect would be most noticeable at one month, but as soon as the swelling went down, I thought, for now, my upper arms are definitely thinner than before...^^ nice..^^
As for the effect... Recently I had gained a lot of fat on my upper arms, but even with just that small 220 cc removed, they became at least not terribly unattractive. For now, I’m satisfied with this much!
If you’re afraid of anesthesia and think you won’t regret it even if only a little fat is removed, go for extraction injections; but if you want a slightly more dramatic effect while you’re at it, go for surgery..! I definitely recommend it... (How do I end this?) If anyone is curious where I had it done, please leave a comment!
