When I first had surgery, the plan was to use silicone for the nasal bridge and septal cartilage for the nasal tip, but I didn’t have septal cartilage in my nose (lol..), so they used donated cartilage. I had the surgery when I was 20, and since I was a freshman, I drank a lot, maybe because of that I developed contracture. But while the contracture was developing, I didn’t feel any pain. Later, a friend said my nose seemed a bit upturned, so I went to the hospital then and found out it was contracture. So for the second surgery, maybe my condition wasn’t that bad? I had revision surgery right away without a recovery period, using Gore-Tex for the nasal bridge and ear cartilage for the nasal tip. It’s been almost 3 years since then. In between, cartilage protruded inside my nose, so I had surgery to reposition it. Because of one nose surgery, I feel like I went through so much in terms of time and emotional distress. Since I never know when another side effect might come, I’m careful with alcohol, careful with food, and careful about lowered immunity, but still, whenever I suddenly feel my nose tightening, or my nose tingles, or bloody scabs come out of my nose, I get so anxious that I keep searching and asking on Naver, and even though I have exams to take, I can’t study.. After these finals are over, I plan to go to Seoul and remove the implant...
