For over 20 years, I got so tired of hearing that my eyes looked fierce, so after spending years looking into getting double eyelid surgery, I finally did it this time~ I’m easily scared, and even to me, my asymmetry was severe and my eye shapes were uneven, so I had a lot of worries about what if touching them for no reason made things go badly. It took a long time to decide on surgery and look for a clinic, but I thought, while I’m at it, let’s just get everything done! So I had my eyes, nose, and fat grafting all done together~ Because of the fat grafting, I couldn’t use warm/cold compresses, and I thought I was going to die... If I’d known it would be this hard, I should’ve done the fat grafting later... I don’t think getting eye surgery and forehead fat grafting together is a good idea haha
On the first day, I could still open my eyes and came home, but from the next day, I could barely open my eyes and just lay down. COVID was one thing, but it was so hard to open my eyes, and my nasal congestion was really bad too, so except for going to the clinic, I didn’t go out and just stayed home~ After getting the stitches removed, the swelling seemed to go down quickly, but the swelling in both eyes went down unevenly, so I became super, super, super sensitive. I took selfies every morning and evening to compare them, and as time passes, they do seem to be getting a little thinner and more even.
Both the epicanthoplasty and lateral canthoplasty are healing without scars, and maybe because it was an incisional procedure, the residual swelling does bother me, but the clinic said I need to look at it over the long term, so I’m trying my best not to get stressed~ Still, compared with before surgery, it definitely has changed.
Oh, and before surgery, I really shouldn’t have gotten semi-permanent eyeliner. That’s what I regret the most. If you’re planning to get double eyelid surgery, don’t get semi-permanent makeup~ Because of this, I think the line heights look even more uneven, and I don’t like it~ Later, once all the residual swelling is completely gone, I’ll share another review~
