It’s already been one month and 10 days since I had silicone for the nasal bridge + nasal tip cartilage repositioning on October 8, so I’m writing this review hoping it’ll help people who are considering it. I’m scared acquaintances might see this, so there are no photos,,^^ I’m not sure if I’m allowed to mention the clinic name in the post, so I won’t for now, but if it’s allowed, let me know and I’ll mention it. If not, please leave a private comment or message me,,,
First, to conclude, I’m super satisfied haha,, I think the most important thing is having a pretty line from the glabella~nasal tip~columella, and my side profile line is amazing. Puhaha, now my nose has presence even with a mask on,,,
Things I wanted to improve - My glabella was low, so the starting point of my nose looked low, and because of that my nose looked short compared with my face - From the front, my nasal tip looked slightly blunt - From the side, my columella drooped a lot, so when I smiled it came down like an arrow nose -> I liked the overall shape of my nose, so I told them I only wanted natural improvement rather than overcorrection, and proceeded with surgery
Day of surgery Actually, I wasn’t that worried until the day before, but once I was waiting on the day of surgery, I got nervous,, Disinfecting inside my mouth with Betadine and disinfecting my whole face was so painful ㅠ ㅠ Why does nobody mention this,, I had it done under semi-sedation, and they said I’d be asleep for 5 minutes, but I think I slept longer than 5 minutes. At first I woke up groggily, but from the time they put the silicone in, I was fully alert. I could tell things like, “They’re shaving the hump now,” “They’re putting in the silicone,” “They’re stitching,” but it didn’t hurt at all, so I don’t think you need to worry about it being scary or painful at all,, I was scared of semi-sedation too, so I looked it up a lot everywhere I remember when the director was putting in the silicone, he talked with the nurse about whether the height was okay, but because he checked carefully several times, I wasn’t worried? When he stitched the columella incision too, he sewed it really closely and meticulously,, It wasn’t that scary, so I just waited while singing songs in my head wondering when it would end ㅋ_ㅋ On the day itself, I was fine enough to go home alone. There was no bleeding and it didn’t hurt either,,
Days 1, 2, 3 On the day of surgery there was almost no swelling and not much bleeding, so hardly anything got on the triangular gauze placed in front of the nasal packing?? I guess they controlled the bleeding well during surgery On day 2, I barely swelled either, and aside from feeling a little short of breath and uncomfortable when eating because of the nasal packing, I was totally fine,, I slept sitting up and iced diligently so I wouldn’t swell,, On day 3, my eyes were really swollen, so my face looked so funny, but after sleeping one day, that all went down too?? Because it overlapped with the clinic’s closed day, I had the nasal packing removed on day 5, and from that day on there was almost no swelling except at the nasal tip. I was nervous because there were lots of reviews saying removing the nasal packing feels like your brain is coming out through your nose and hurts terribly, but it felt refreshing and didn’t hurt at all,,, The feeling of breathing through my nose after 5 days was awakening,,
Week 1~1 month At my 1-week visit, they removed the columella stitches, and at week 2 they removed the stitches inside my nose. From then on, I don’t think there was anything particularly uncomfortable or painful. Reviews said the ear where cartilage was harvested hurts, but my ear didn’t hurt at all either,,, I barely had yellow bruising or swelling, so honestly, except for the scab on the columella, you probably wouldn’t even know I’d had nose surgery. I went back to work from week 1 At first, because of swelling on the nasal bridge, my eyes looked close together, so I was like, “Oh no, what if it stays like this?” and worried, but even that went down quickly, so I don’t think everyone needs to worry When I was looking up reviews in this community, there was a lot of talk about this clinic’s aftercare being bad or whatever, so I was worried, but I don’t think there was anything particularly problematic. The nurses checked on me kindly, and the director’s follow-up was about 1 minute? It was short, but the surgery had gone well in the first place, so I didn’t have anything to ask or wonder about, so I don’t think there would’ve been much point in seeing him for a long time..
In conclusion, I think mine turned out very naturally, and all the parts I wanted improved were improved well without overcorrection, so I’m living very very very satisfied. I should’ve done it earlier instead of thinking about it for so long,,,,ㅋㅅㅋ My mom, who paid for it, is super satisfied first of all lol, and my friends say they wouldn’t know unless I told them and that it turned out very natural Honestly, at first I thought, “Ah, maybe I could’ve raised it a little more, didn’t it change too little?” but when I saw the before-and-after photos at the clinic at one month, that was a shameless thought. A definite before-and-after difference ..^^ Once the center of my face was set, my face looks narrower horizontally too, and from the side, my mouth looks less protruded. Puhaha
Across the whole process from surgery to recovery, disinfecting with Betadine was the hardest part, and the surgery itself didn’t hurt at all, so people worried about pain don’t need to worry.. In my case, swelling, bruising, and bleeding weren’t severe, so with a mask on, I could return to daily life right from the day after the splint was removed. Even I, who had 3.7 mm of silicone inserted, didn’t have things like eyes looking close together, so don’t worry about that either,, Aside from a few inconveniences like having the nasal packing blocking my nose for the first 3 days, making it hard to breathe, sleeping sitting up, and my nose getting blocked because of boogers, there’s nothing uncomfortable in daily life. Kyakya
I really didn’t want revision surgery, so I thought about it for a long time, doing online research for more than 6 months and visiting, what was it, 7 clinics in person, and I’m really satisfied.. ^^ The new-dad doctor who made me a new nose is the best>< I’m strongly recommending it to friends around me who are thinking about nose surgery. I hope this helps those who are considering it...
