In 2015, I had lip filler and a mouth-corner procedure done, and after 9 years, I was looking into clinics to get my lip filler topped up. I heard Elliott was famous for lip fillers, so I made an appointment and visited. The consultant asked what kind of lip shape I wanted... But even if I showed photos of what I wanted, if they’re different from my own lips, it wouldn’t turn out like the photos anyway, right? So I said I wanted an improved version of my own lips, and since I knew it wouldn’t be possible anyway, I just roughly showed 1-2 photos. As expected, they said my original lip shape was different, so my lips couldn’t look like the photos...
They said I had to remove all the remaining filler in my lips first, so on my first visit, I got filler-dissolving injections, and a week later I met the doctor to get filler... The doctor also asked me to show photos of the lips I wanted... I said with a laugh, “Why ask me to show them when you’re going to say it’s impossible anyway?” and still showed them. As expected, they said it couldn’t be like the photos... ;;;;; But since I’m an ESTJ, I wanted the expert to just figure it out and do it sharply, like, “If we do it this way and that way, it’ll suit your face and upgrade your appearance,” but I felt like I was the doctor.
They told me to do the first session first and come back for a retouch, but during the second session, when I said my lips were uneven and asked them to balance them, they said they were originally uneven, so there were limits... So I showed photos from my previous clinic and said that clinic had balanced them symmetrically even though my lips were asymmetrical. (Why are they saying it can’t be done?? Isn’t the doctor supposed to use their skill to make them symmetrical?) Following my lead, they added more here, and since the balance was a bit off there, they added a little more filler on that side. I really felt like I was the doctor......
After that second session, I was going home, and on the way home, blood started dripping from my upper lip. I thought I was having a nosebleed... Thankfully, the bleeding stopped, so I just went home, but then my lips started feeling numb and throbbing. When I looked, I had developed inflammation, maybe because the filler had been injected into a blood vessel incorrectly. I called the clinic right away, and they said I should visit as soon as possible so the doctor could check it and that they might have to dissolve the filler again... ㅠㅠ They said they would do the retouch again after the inflammation went down...
After the inflammation subsided, I went back to get filler again, but maybe the doctor was scared inflammation would happen again, because they didn’t put much filler into the right side of my upper lip where the inflammation had occurred.... Still, after I said this and that, they finished it so the asymmetry wasn’t extremely noticeable, but... Honestly, the doctor’s style didn’t match mine... Whenever I requested something, there were a lot of excuses... I checked the website to see which university they graduated from, but their education wasn’t even listed... After this clinic, I started caring about the educational background of anyone who touches my face.
For reference, my friend also had it done here, but didn’t like it, so she dissolved everything and paid again to have the procedure done at another clinic. A clinic I never want to go to again...
