After<after revision surgery>Before<before revision surgery>I had double eyelid surgery with the non-incisional buried-suture method 10 years ago and had been satisfied, but just as there are trends in clothes, it seems there are trends in appearance too. These days, when I look at celebrities or influencers, everyone seems to have a dramatic image, so I started thinking that I wanted to make a change to my face, and that led me to surgery.
First, I wanted to change my in-out eyes to a more dramatic look, and by setting a large outline crease, I wanted to make my slightly stuffy-looking eyes larger and clearer. However, during the consultation, the director recommended a semi-out crease with the line slightly lower rather than an outline crease, and said that if I wanted my eyes to look clearer, how about adding ptosis correction and having the surgery that way.
Because this was different from the design I had in mind and different from the crease I was pursuing, I said I would think about it and decide, and ended the consultation. Afterward, when I talked with people around me, they said a dramatic outline crease would be nice too, but it seemed excessive for my face, and that a line only slightly higher than my current eyes would be okay and would suit me well. After hearing that, I thought it over again, went back to the clinic once more, had another consultation with the director, and ended up having the surgery.
As a result, I had surgery with the semi-out crease that the director recommended, and now I think this double eyelid line suits me the best. If I had insisted on my own preference back then and made the double eyelid line large with an outline crease, I think my eyes might have looked too much and I probably would have regretted it.
