It’s not a special review, I’m just writing what I felt after getting cosmetic surgery for the first time.
A while ago I hit my nose and fractured my nasal bone, and after that it ended up becoming a hump noseㅠㅠ I tried fillers too, but I kept not liking the shape, and it felt like my face looked wider for no reason, so it bothered me in various ways. So I had surgery with [no implant, osteotomy, nasal tip septal cartilage]. It’s been over 3 weeks now!
I had heard so much about silicone side effects, so I wanted to do it without an implant if possible. I got information from a friend who had rhinoplasty and looked at apps, then found the hospital. Everything was done one-on-one, so it felt like I was getting customized care, which was nice lol
Before surgery, they dissolved the filler, and it wasn’t just getting an injection and being done. They kneaded it to dissolve it, so it really.. hurt like crazy. That was the moment I regretted why I even got it if I was going to dissolve it anywayㅠㅠ And after dissolving it, my nasal bridge was... hahaha Seeing my nasal bridge made me waver a bit about deciding on no implant, but anyway, in the end I don’t regret doing it without an implant lol
On days 1-2 after surgery, I felt like I was going to die... I heard my nose would be blocked with cotton, so I wondered, then what taste will food have? But it turned out I just had to eat without tasting anything lol It was so tightly blocked that it was hard to swallow anything, and my ears kept feeling blocked like when you’re on an airplane or go up somewhere highㅠㅠ I gave up on taste for a while, and since I kept breathing through my mouth, my throat got dry, right? Then you have to drink water, but drinking water is hard too because your nose is blocked anyway lol... You basically have to give up on breathing fullyㅠ
After removing the cotton, I felt a bit more alive and thought I had passed the crisis, but my nose got blocked again.. They said it’s normal because the inside is swollenㅠ When it had been one week, they removed the splint, and it was more like, huh? than I expected, so when I saw it right away I couldn’t manage my expression and felt a little awkward lol They said it was because there was still swelling hahaha. When I compared it with the photos taken before surgery, it had definitely changed. I did warm/cold compresses really diligently, trying to reduce the swelling hahahaha
The nasal tip was firm (they said it’s because they used septal cartilage) and slightly raised? It was lifted like something had been placed on it, but as time passes, it’s gradually coming down. What’s fascinating is that if you shave bone, it should hurt, right? But it really didn’t hurt, so I was surprised lol It only throbbed a little on the day of surgery, with no discomfort, so it was really fascinating... But I did bruise badlyㅠ Thankfully I mostly stayed at home, so it was okay, and if I wore a large mask up to under my eyes, it covered it, so going to the mart was no problem lol
Since I did it without an implant, my nasal bridge is just my original nasal bridge, but because the tip is defined, it doesn’t really look low, and it looks slimmer, so it’s waaaay better than before lol I like it even though there’s still swelling, so I’m really looking forward to the swelling going down haha
