My first surgery was with Allergan, which had all kinds of issues,,~~ Still, it rescued my previously underdeveloped breasts, so I don’t have major regrets about that decision.. just a little bit of post-op haze? (Actually, I had quite a lot of that.. lol)
Back then I knew absolutely nothing about breast surgery, so I went in without knowing what made a proper hospital or what the right choice was. But now I feel like I got it done at the right specialist clinic, so I’m writing this review.
<Why I chose revision surgery> - Implant rupture (not visible from the outside) - Improving breast shape (the upper breast was sunken, so the implant looked saggy) These two reasons were the biggest factors in deciding on revision surgery. The second reason, if you look closely at the photos, you’ll understand.. because of that I didn’t even feel confident showing my bare chest.
<Pre-op consultation> I visited 4 clinics in person, and every hospital recommended dual-plane and an inframammary fold incision. Since this was revision surgery, I had an ultrasound exam and a detailed consultation with the director. Because my upper breast had been lacking volume, I was recommended Motiva Demi in the 340~380 range, and after trying fitting, 380 felt too much;; the place that recommended 360cc was more appealing. That was MD, and the director said that size would be the least burdensome for my body type and produce the prettiest shape. It wasn’t one of those messy factory-like clinics, but a place that specializes only in breasts, so the examination equipment was also well prepared, and I felt I could trust them for revision surgery.
Hospitalization: possible if desired, but I declined because the hospital and my home are close / capsule removal X (same at all hospitals)
<Post-op progress> Height 160 / Weight 53 / Ribcage 74 / Breast width 12 After surgery > weight increased by 2 kg (returned to 53 after a month and a half) I kept hearing that revision recovery is fast, fast, but experiencing it myself, there really wasn’t much of a hurdle compared to the first surgery. Was it because it was revision surgery? Because of the director’s skill? Because the hospital does so much for you? I think it was all thanks to those things, and after revision surgery I think I was able to get by without worrying too much.
I knew they offered a single room, but I still refused because I wanted to rest at home. Since recovery was fast, I’m glad I did. The director answered every question clearly and confidently, so I felt I chose the right hospital, and the manager was kind too.
I’m currently living with nipple patches on. The biggest difference is that the sensation is seriously so good!! When I did it with Allergan, the texture didn’t feel that natural, so I had basically resigned myself to thinking, well, there’s a limit to implants~ But that wasn’t the case. I also got proper aftercare like caps management, and as the swelling went down, it no longer felt like the breast and the implant were separate.
But it’s only been two months now, so I’m still watching it It’s too early to jump to conclusions. I’m hoping the stable phase comes soon.. I don’t want more or less than this, I just hope it keeps holding up like this~
