Treatment for side effects of lateral canthoplasty and lowering canthoplasty

I have conjunctival exposure and ㄷ-shaped adhesion, and the white of one eye where I had the canthoplasty is always so red and bloodshot that it’s hard to see the sclera. Has anyone gone to an ophthalmologist and received treatment for this..? Do I need surgery or something..? It’s already been ten years since it became like this, but I was too scared to touch my eyes, so I haven’t even been to an ophthalmologist. Now I’m finally looking into canthoplasty reconstruction, but before that, I’m not sure whether I should go to an ophthalmologist and receive separate surgery or treatment for therapeutic purposes before doing the reconstruction. Has anyone already done this? If I don’t get separate treatment, will the part that has been constantly bloodshot return to normal on its own after reconstruction...?
