SMILE LASIK review from someone with very different vision and astigmatism in each eye...

The reason I chose the SMILE LASIK clinic was because an acquaintance of my dad helped me get access, so I could do it safely but at a lower price.

My vision before LASIK correction was: Right: myopia / -2.75, astigmatism / -2.00 Left: myopia / -1.25, astigmatism / -0.75 So my two eyes had a big difference. On top of that, I have eyelashes that poke my eyes, so the surgery had been postponed several times.

But after correcting the astigmatism and myopia, it’s a whole new world!!! However, since the astigmatism in my right eye was moderate to high, I don’t think it was completely corrected ㅜㅜ It seemed difficult to make it as clear as the left eye. That’s disappointing, but I’m still glad the myopia was corrected.

Oh, and as for glare, my pupils were already huge to begin with (apparently much larger than the average person’s), so the glare is the same. This is because of pupil size, so there’s nothing I can do. *If an average person’s size is 3.8, mine is 5.3 haha Even my pupils are chunky haha

As for dryness, I was already on the dry side, so I’m not sure,,, It feels a liiittle worse, but it gets better when I put in eye drops.

And after LASIK, I didn’t have pain. Maybe because for almost a year I wore contact lenses only about 10 times, and even then only for 5 hours, I had little pain. But an older friend who had LASIK around the same time as me wears lenses every day, and she said her pain lasted long and was severe. Please note that this varies by person!

All procedures and surgeries vary by person, so please keep that in mind.
