9 years ago, when I was in high school, double eyelid surgery was really popular. A school teacher recommended this place, saying they had it done here, so I went holding my mom’s hand without shopping around at all lol. It was a single-doctor clinic in Daegu, and I had a direct consultation with the director. When I said I absolutely wanted a thick outline crease, the director coolly marked the line, then said I had a lot of flesh on my eyelids, so we should proceed with incision, ptosis correction, epicanthoplasty, and maybe eyelid fat removal—I’m not sure about that part ㅠㅠ. With an acquaintance discount, the price was exactly 1 million won.
After the first surgery, the line was thinner than I expected, but I got along fine. Then with just a few days left before the 1-year mark, one eye came undone and became a double crease, so I went back to the clinic. They readily said they would do the AS revision for free. I said I wanted the line a bit thicker than before and asked them to set it higher, and they reflected that as much as possible. Maybe because I had incision surgery twice, there is some scarring when I close my eyes, and the thickness of the line near the inner corners is very slightly different, but it doesn’t really bother me. Since the revision surgery, it has never come undone. A lot of time has passed, and treatments and dieting may have had an effect too, but the before-and-after difference is clear, so I sometimes feel grateful as I go about my life.
