Eye Re-Surgery@eye-redo

2 weeks after revision surgery following a failed first eye surgery!!

Before <before revision surgery> After <1 week after revision surgery> After <2 weeks after revision surgery> Because my eyes looked dull and unfocused, I had double-eyelid surgery by incision 1 year ago, and also had ptosis correction and epicanthoplasty...ㅠㅠ At first, I thought it went well... but as time passed, the double-eyelid line became lighter, and maybe the ptosis correction hadn’t worked well either, I could see my eyes gradually drooping, and in the end I started thinking about revision surgery.

But I had developed distrust toward surgery, so even if I had revision surgery again, I worried that it might loosen over time in the same way or that the double-eyelid line might disappear... An even bigger worry was whether the surgery might go wrong and I would end up needing a second revision surgery. Still, because I definitely wanted to have surgery, I only looked for hospitals known for doing revision surgery well, and for about one or two months I lived like crazy just looking at plastic surgery apps. Also, while going around for in-person consultations, I didn’t even look back at hospitals that didn’t give me confidence, and I only searched for directors who seemed confident about revision surgery.

After going to a lot of consultations, I could immediately get the feeling that a certain hospital wasn’t right for me, and after going around to so many hospitals, I ended up hereㅠ I didn’t have huge expectations for my eyes; I wanted improvement of the dull, unfocused-looking eyes and a natural double-eyelid line, so I didn’t do any other surgeries, and just like before, I only proceeded with incisional double-eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and epicanthoplasty. I feel like the exact eye shape I wanted came out, so I’m satisfied now.

If you really want your surgery to succeed, I think the best thing is to go to lots of consultations and find a hospital that suits you well. I like how it is right now, so I’m hoping there won’t be a third surgery haha
