My 2-month review after a facelift

Hello, this is my 2-month review after a facelift at a clinic. For the first month after surgery, time felt like it was not passing at all, but already 2 months have gone by. For those having surgery, try to hang in there well for just one month. After that, the major swelling and bruising all go down, sensation gradually comes back, and I have no discomfort at all in daily life.

I had double-jaw surgery + cheekbone surgery, and as I entered my late 40s, my double chin sagging, jawline, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines were droopingㅜ Overall, everything was sagging and uneven, so I could not wear my hair down. Even though I am a slim size 55, I always heard that my face made me look like I had gained weight, and I absolutely could not take photos with an iPhone without using an app... you know what I mean, right? Even though I had double-jaw surgery, the smaller face I got started to feel bigger, heavier, and more saggy as time passed... so a lift was necessary. For choosing a hospital, I mainly visited specialized hospitals with many facelift cases, and among them, I decided on this clinic because the director accurately understood my condition, gave detailed explanations, and the consultation felt trustworthy.

I had a facelift + deep cheek fat removal + double chin liposuction and fat grafting with the removed fat + double chin muscle tying.

From right after surgery until week 3, the swelling and bruising were severe, and especially my cheekbone area swelled a lot, making my face look like a flatfish, so I was very worried, but it really all goes down. The shape of my ears did not change and turned out nicely, and the scars became slightly red again, but they are healing cleanly without inflammation. I heard scars can become red at 1-2 months and then gradually fade, and for people with fair skin, they are barely noticeable by around 6 months.

What I am most satisfied with now is that the double chin that had sagged like a pelican is gone, the broad width of my face has decreased, my nasolabial folds have smoothed out a lot, and my facial contour is more organized. There is still a lot of residual swelling, and it is the period when scar tissue is forming, so I can feel it a little when I touch it, but now I can wear my hair down and take photos with my iPhone without an app haha An acquaintance I met after a long time had no idea I had surgery and asked why I never age, and my close friends were amazed, saying I looked like I went back 10 years. I am looking forward to the day when more time passes, all sensation returns, and the scar tissue disappears. It seems like a lot of people are getting facelift surgery these days, and I recommend it. Please make sure to choose an experienced specialist, have surgery safely, and let’s all become prettier!
