People around me said nose surgery always requires revision surgery, so I was wondering what to do. Then I searched and found out about a surgery called alar reduction. I looked into it diligently and booked a consultation at a clinic right away!
I live outside Seoul, so I didn’t have enough time to visit many places, but I think I only booked one place because I just somehow felt like I should do it at that clinic.. haha
When I got there, I waited a little and then had a consultation with the consultant first. She was very kind and explained everything in detail, which was nice. She also immediately understood that I wanted to become just a little prettier without changing my current face or overall image, and without it being obvious, so the consultation went very smoothly. During the consultation, she told me exactly what was essential for me, and also explained in detail what additional options would be good to consider.
Then the consultation with the director! Even in posts written by other people, there were many comments saying the director was unfriendly, so maybe because I went in expecting that to some extent, I felt the director was neither too unfriendly nor too friendly. But the director seemed confident and had a style that made me trust them right away!
Since the cost was higher than other places, I wanted to think about it a little more, so I just paid the consultation fee and left. But no matter how much I thought about it.. haha I felt I had to do it, so I booked the surgery the very next day and had it done.
For me, alar reduction + alar lifting were essential, so I did those two, and I also did columellar grafting, which I had been debating until the end.
I think the surgery took about 30 minutes, and the anesthetic injection hurt a lot, but the director checked on me well, so it was a tolerable level of pain!
When I came home after surgery, I could see the effect right away, so I was really, really surprised. I’m still very satisfied now as the swelling is going down!
But during recovery, the dissolvable sutures kept sticking out, so I had to go back to Seoul to have them removed, and then they stuck out again, so I paid at a hospital near my home to have them removed again.. I think that part was really hard and stressful. Still, when I asked the clinic, they consulted with me in detail.
I’m completely satisfied! Even if I went back in time, I think I’d do it again haha
