First of all, this is my first surgery, and I have monolids with thin eyelids and no fat. They’re open-looking monolids that are average to slightly large eyes, but I went for consultations because of multiple creases.
1. TS - ㅇㅈㅁ The staff weren’t unfriendly, but it had a kind of busy marketplace vibe. I could hear the staff chatting with each other so clearly, exchanging snacks, rustling around and giggling... But the guidance and consultation were kind. The overall impression was hectic. Also, I made a reservation and went, but they said the director had gone into surgery, so I waited over 2 hours.. Since it was my first consultation, I wondered, “Is this how it usually is?” and just waited. Since it’s peak season these days, I’m only visiting one place a day anywayㅎㅋ.. Since I got in late, the director gave me a kind consultation, and I could feel the expertise, like experience built up over timeㅋㅋ However, rather than making double eyelids the main focus, this place focused more on a therapeutic direction to remove the cause of the multiple creases. It was my first surgery, so I was a little taken aback when they mentioned upper eyelid fat repositioning + incision. The price was also the most expensive among the three. Anyway, they told me to ask more questions if I had any and were kind. But maybe because they focused on removing the multiple creases, there wasn’t a line that immediately felt like “this is it.” They made several lines, but maybe because it was my first consultation and I didn’t know much, none of them really pulled me in. The line was clean, though. But if I go in knowing the line I want, I feel like they might make it well? Here, I was recommended a thin in-out line.
2. 1mm - ㄱㅎㅈ I heard the wait here was long, so I went prepared, but luckily everything moved along right away. First, like in other reviews, the consultant explained all the basic knowledge related to eye surgery and also made the line a few times. I heard people are divided on this, but since it’s my first surgery and I don’t know much, it was somewhat? helpfulㅋㅋㅋ I took eye photos, waited about 2 minutes, and went in for the director’s consultation. The director was very gentle, kind, and meticulous. He drew a lot of lines very delicately, understood my eye style on his own, and didn’t push anything unnecessary. He said my eyes would come out just right and pretty with non-incisional in-out double eyelids, but when I said another clinic recommended upper eyelid fat repositioning + incision, he said that could be one method, but he personally thought my eyes could definitely be done non-incisionally? And he confidently said that even with non-incision, the chance of it coming undone looked extremely low, so I thought, oh, he must really be good? Also, the line really was pretty. Here too, he recommended in-out because it suits my image well! But he said my eyes would turn out well with anything as long as the line isn’t too thick. The director had a lot of confidence in non-incisional surgery.
3. Wannabe - ㅈㅊㅎ First, all the hospital staff were kind, and the consultation with the consultant was clean and straightforward, so it eased my nerves and was good. I chose this place because there’s a director known for natural adhesion double eyelid surgery, and the consultation flowed like there are both non-incisional and incisional methods, so I can choose the direction I prefer. They also drew the line prettily. They presented both treatment directions from the two doctors above. More than anything, when they made the line, the line I liked almost overlapped with the director’s preference too? But unlike 1mm, rather than strong confidence in non-incision, it felt like, “Incision/non-incision each have these pros and cons, so choose”ㅠㅠ The director seemed to put more weight on the patient’s choice rather than saying, “This is the prettiest” or “This one is better,” you know? But for a first-surgery newbie like me, that makes it harderㅋㅋㅋㅋ Since I’m leaning more toward non-incision, compared with 1mm, it felt a bit uncertain. The estimate was similar to 1mm!
For the first round of consultations, my preference is 1mm > Wannabe > TS, and after I go to JT and Naturalism next week, my final consultation tour will be done!!
