I had my first surgery at ㅇㅅ (that famous place). I had it done by Director ㅇㅇㅈ, and he’s known for always pursuing a natural look. I had severe ptosis too, so I had a partial incision + ptosis correction. Because the ptosis was severe, the surgery took over an hour and a half. The director said it was a difficult surgery... Even on the second day after surgery, there wasn’t much swelling. After a week, it was to the point where I could just go around normally... So at first I liked it, and I didn’t have much greed about my eyes. I was just satisfied that I no longer had monolids. But after 2 years, the double eyelid that had been natural from the start became extremely thin + the asymmetry became noticeable + the ptosis slowly started coming back.
So I went to a second hospital. I had it done at ㅂㅇ (also that famous place in Dongseong-ro). It was Director ㅂㅇㅈ, but honestly I hadn’t separately looked up who was famous before going. I had a consultation, and they said my double eyelid had loosened a lot and I needed ptosis correction again. When I said I’d previously had it done by Dr. ㅇㅇㅈ at ㅇㅅ, he went, “Ah~ him..” and said he’s known for doing things naturally. He said his own aesthetic standards were a bit different and that he tends to make the look more glamorous, so I liked that for now. Because I’d tasted the bitter side of natural-looking eyes, the director and I agreed that since my eyes would shrink anyway, we should make them bigger from the start. During surgery, I don’t know whether there had been a problem with the first double eyelid surgery or what, but the adhesion in the eye muscles was so severe that it took a really long time to release it. But he said my eyes were the type that shouldn’t get epicanthoplasty, so I didn’t do it. It’s been about 2 years now, and except for the inner corners of my eyes feeling a bit stuffy, I’m satisfied. He said that with my skin/tissue type, even if the double eyelid was made large, it wouldn’t shrink much over time. It’s almost been 3 years, and sure enough, the double eyelid hasn’t gotten smaller. My friends around me also say it was well done and made big, and that they’re jealous...
Because I’m disappointed about the inner corners of my eyes, I went to another hospital, and somehow they said my eyes can have epicanthoplasty, so I’m thinking of doing only epicanthoplasty. Both ㅇㅅ and ㅂㅇ are factory-style hospitals, so make sure you understand the directors’ styles well before you go...
