Object Consultation Review Written After 1 Year

The incisional ptosis correction I had in early 2019 seemed to be gradually weakening, and the director at the orthodontic clinic I was going to casually mentioned in passing that my nose wasn’t on the high side, so last winter I went to Object for a consultation.

I first had a consultation with the consultant, then met the director. After I explained why I came in, he had me do various tests like opening and closing my eyes, and I was diagnosed as having loosening.

He said I should think of the loosening as fate, and since my original director (I had it done at IQ) had done such a good job, I could just redo it along the same incisional line and tie it a bit more strongly.

I also asked about my nose, and he said my nose was fine and I didn’t need to do anything.

I asked about two-jaw surgery, which every dental clinic except the orthodontic clinic I was attending (oral surgery and orthodontics departments) had recommended. He looked carefully for a while, then even shook my hand and said two-jaw surgery was the answer.

He asked whether I had malocclusion, and when I said no, he even worried that the money spent on braces would be a waste. He said that even though my eyes had loosened a bit, they didn’t look very strange externally, and if I wanted to become more good-looking, he once again recommended two-jaw surgery.

I paid a reservation deposit and then canceled it, and switched to two-jaw surgery.

I did a company internship this year and saved up some money, so I booked cosmetic two-jaw surgery for early next year.
