Even thinking about it again, LASEK was a stroke of genius

I decided to have surgery at the clinic where I got LASEK 5 years ago because I thought it was the most conservative among the clinics I visited in person. Since it was eye surgery, I was scared, but they gave me a doll to hold and told me to calm down. There were a lot of people in the waiting room, and the surgery finished faster than I expected. As it was LASEK, I really struggled for 3 days, and when I got up from the bed after LASEK and saw the clock.... it was indescribably good. The clinic also handled the aftercare very thoroughly, so I felt reassured, and thinking about the various documents I received, I think they really were conservative. Other than my eyes stinging when I wake up after sleeping on extremely dry days sometimes, I think I’m fine. I’m the type who doesn’t drink much water, so it’s probably natural because my body is dry, but on days when I drank a lot of water before sleeping and then woke up, that didn’t happen at all. (I think it’s just because I don’t drink water.) Before correction, my vision was -3 diopters, but after correction it went up to 1.5. My own sibling saw me do it and did the same, and went from -7 to -9 diopters to over 1.0. Even now, 5 years later, I still see well, and I think there is mild glare. (Maybe it was always there..) I’m still living satisfied with it, and if you’re thinking about it, I really hope you do it. I also told people around me that if they were definitely going to get LASEK, they should do it at my clinic, and those two friends who wore glasses eventually did it at the clinic where I had mine done. I can’t believe they really did it..
