Before<<Before surgery>>After<<1 week later>>After<2 months later>-Consultation I had consultations at FO and another place, and I liked both places. But they were split between serious/fun. I like fun, but for a big surgery like this, more than anything, I wanted someone careful and sincere in their explanations, so I chose the serious one. And people said I should go where I felt drawn to so I wouldn’t regret it later, so I decided on the place I was most drawn to.
At FO, the consultant meets with you first, and she seemed really fun and cheerful. I like places where the consultant is fun and the director is gentle, and this place seemed like that. Anyway, I wrapped up after showing the photos I wanted, and then the director came in and explained everything from A to Z for a long time in a calm, gentle way. I think the director is kind of cute. He looked like a bear.
-Decision I had it done at FO, and on the day of surgery, traffic was so bad that I was almost 30 minutes late, but they didn’t rush me at all. As soon as I arrived, the consultant went over the precautions one more time, and then I went in for surgery. I’m really so grateful, sobㅠ
-Hospitalization When I came out after surgery, I was so out of it and groggy, but they said I shouldn’t sleep, so I honestly don’t know how I held on. It was such a relief my parents were beside me. If they hadn’t been there, I think I would’ve just fallen asleep. I forced myself to sing while leaving the TV on, and I started waking up a bit, so I wondered if I was okay, but then suddenly I felt insanely nauseous and I think I kept throwing up. I was really dizzy, couldn’t move, and phlegm and saliva kept coming out, but I didn’t even have the strength to spit it out, ha... I really felt like I nearly died and came back. I don’t want to think about it againㅠ Also, I had bruising on my left eye, but they said it would get better with warm compresses, so it didn’t bother me too much. As I got a bit better, I ate pumpkin porridge and was able to walk, so I was discharged. Now my stomach is fine, but for two days after surgery I couldn’t do anything. A guardian is absolutely essential!!!!!!!!!!
Day 3, I had taping done, and the director checked inside my mouth again and emphasized that I should gargle diligently. So I’m doing it diligentlyㅎㅎㅎ But the problem is my appetite. I didn’t know I was this greedy for food, but my appetite is seriously exploding. I couldn’t hold back, so I cut bread into tiny pieces and melted it in my mouth, ate ice cream, and tried to eat things that were soft but tasty if possible. And sleeping was hard too, but I guess I have to get used to it. I didn’t know sleeping with my upper body elevated instead of lying flat would be this hard,,
Day 7, They said they would remove the stitches inside my mouth and do something else, but I heard stitch removal hurts, so that was all I could think about when I went. They did the laser first and then pulled the stitches, and wow, it hurts like crazyㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ The stitched area still hurt, and they opened that area and snipped it with scissors. I seriously thought I was going to die. Especially not the cheek side, but right under the lip, it hurts soooo damn much, ha seriouslyㅠㅠ Even after it was all over and I came out, tears and snot kept coming out, so I was sniffling alone. It really pulls the tears out of you. Then I went back in, the director came and checked inside my mouth and explained other things, but I was so out of it that I just nodded and came out and went home.
For about 2-3 days I felt like I was going to die, and after that it was bearable.
Anyone planning to do this should think carefully before doing it.
Then I’ll reduce the swelling and come back in a month><
<2 months later> There’s still some swelling, but it’s not swollen enough to bother me a lot. My cheeks got slightly puffy? About that much. I can still feel some biobond under my chin. I think that may also be because I don’t do cold compresses and wear the band every day, and I think it’ll all go away with time, so I’m leaving it alone, but from the side, the area under my chin protrudes because of the swelling, so it doesn’t look very pretty. Sob.
Still, I think they take good care of aftercare. When it had been one month, the director told me I’m the type whose swelling goes down slowly, so I was a bit shockedㅠㅠ It’s because I was careless with aftercareㅠㅠphew
The consultant advised me to use the band and compress often, so I can’t do it perfectly every time, but stillㅠ I’m working hard at it.
And they say red bean water is good for reducing swelling, so everyone, take note! The clinic told me.
I can eat everything now, but my mouth doesn’t open well. So I shove food in with chopsticksㅋㅋㅋ A spoon piled with rice and a piece of meat... I absolutely can’t do that. Half of it is eating and half is spilling. I have to flatten it on the spoon as much as possible or eat with chopsticks.
So for a while I only ate porridge and scorched-rice soup, yep yep.
Brushing with an electric toothbrush is no problem at all.
As for facial sensation, I’m still not sure about the cheekbones, but I think sensation in my mouth and chin area has all returned.
Now I just hope all the swelling goes down... If it goes down quickly, I’ll write another review; if not, I’ll just come back next month. Byeing.
