Before<before>After<after>Of course both the before and after photos are mine. I only see posts in this community saying things like “never get ptosis correction,” so I felt a bit frustrated and wanted to write this. My post is absolutely not recommending ptosis correction.. I wrote it because I wanted to say that if someone truly needs it, the effect can be good.
When I had my first surgery, I thought the director was more of an expert than I was, so I should just do what the director suggested~ and had the surgery. But no matter how much time passed, my eyes looked half-open, as if the swelling never went down. At first I wondered, is the line too high? Has the swelling not gone down? But it turned out my eye-opening strength was too weak.. So it would have been better if I had gotten ptosis correction from the first surgery, but the result didn’t turn out that way ㅜㅜ This time, while looking into revision surgery, I didn’t go to a place that mindlessly recommended double eyelid surgery. I got it done at a place that accurately pointed out why only ptosis correction was necessary for my eyes.
There are incisional and non-incisional methods for ptosis correction, and I was told that non-incisional would be enough for me, so I think I could worry a bit less about recovery. As someone who had even considered double-line correction because of my double eyelid line.. I was able to have surgery in a much more reasonable way, both in terms of cost and surgical method. Most of all, I liked that the director explained everything clearly so I could understand.
What I clearly feel after revision surgery is that my eye-opening strength is muuuuch better than before. The line has also settled more naturally than before! Before, I opened my eyes using forehead strength, so it was really uncomfortable, and I often found myself frowning without realizing it. Now my eyes also look subtly bigger, so I’m satisfied.
I wrote this especially because I want everyone looking into revision surgery to properly find out which surgical method suits their own eyes. That’s how you can succeed with double eyelid surgery or ptosis correction without it becoming excessive! Other people’s words are not always the answer, so I hope you go to consultations yourself and decide.
