<Day 3 after surgery>Before<Before surgery><Day 1 after surgery><Day 2 after surgery>I had cheekbone and square jaw surgery the day before Seollal. Day of surgery I had a consultation with the director, got anesthesia, and when I opened my eyes, the surgery was over. After surgery, I felt nauseous because of the anesthesia. They say some people vomit as the anesthesia wears off, and that was me ㅠㅠ For 2 hours.. I drank water and threw up.... When I told the hospital I felt nauseous, they gave me an injection too, and if I pressed something like a bell, the manager kept checking on me. The director encouraged me...? so I could get home safely, and everyone took good care of me, so I was thankful ㅠ I rested for about 2 hours, but I thought it would be harder to go home if I stayed longer, so I gathered my strength and went home ㅠ My house is 1 hour and 30 minutes away by direct bus...
Day 1 (pain at its peak) Once the anesthesia wore off, my stomach felt better. My appetite came back too. I had thin rice gruel and pumpkin juice. The bandage was so tight that it hurt a lot. Under my chin hurt like crazy, and at night I swelled up more, so it tightened and hurt even more. I had square jaw surgery and cheekbone surgery, but I wondered why my front chin hurt; I guess it was because of the bandage. Because my jaw area hurt so much from the bandage, I only waited for the day I could remove it on day 2. At night my face swelled so much it felt like it would burst, and it was hard. I did cold compresses, took painkillers, and slept. This day was the hardest.
Day 2 (swelling at its peak) After removing the bandage, I felt like I could live again. The pain around my jaw also disappeared, and my face felt really tight, so I put on the compression band right away. I also looked at my face, and since my square jaw had been severe, even with swelling, I could clearly see the square jaw had become softer. For the cheekbones, maybe because of the swelling, it seemed like they had gone in a little. My cheekbones weren’t originally that severe, and the director said they wouldn’t go in dramatically but would look more refined, so for now I’m waiting for the swelling to go down. At night, I swelled up tightly again today. I kept doing cold compresses and had thin rice gruel and pumpkin juice. My mouth opened only enough to drink things. The swelling was at its peak that day. I was a total pufferfish. Day 3 I slept with the compression band on, and in the morning I was swollen tight and my throat hurt, so I ate frozen Jjayo Jjayo, did cold compresses, and loosened it. The swelling is better than day 2. My face still looks like I’m holding candy balls in my cheeks. I took the compression band off in the morning and put it back on and so on. I saw posts saying people start walking from day 3, so I’m going to go for a walk too... I’ll post another review...
