Hello hehe After I became interested in liposuction and got information from this community, I’m writing a review here in gratitude. I ended up not coming here much after I became satisfied and settled in, but I got the urge to do another area(?) and reconnected today, so I’m even leaving a review.. I’m not great at writing entertainingly, but since this is an informational post, I hope you’ll understand ㅠㅠ
First, to give you the result: On 12/5, I had upper arm liposuction and they confirmed that 3,000 cc of pure fat was removed. Seeing the yellow fat, excluding the watery solution and blood components that come with it, felt strangely satisfying(?)
For reference, I was 165 cm / 60 kg, and I have a very solid lower body with a fat + muscle type build. A month later, I have none of the side effects I was worried about, like adhesions, unevenness, or sagging.
What I focused on when choosing the clinic: 1) The doctor’s profile I visited because I knew the doctor had been at a numbers-based hospital and then opened his own clinic. In fact, I thought that if someone opens their own clinic and works independently, they would pay even more careful attention and be safer. Also, I thought the connection between liposuction and board certification in plastic surgery was not very strong, so I looked mainly at experience rather than certification, and since the anesthesia was sedation rather than general anesthesia, whether there was an anesthesiology specialist was not meaningful to me, so I did not consider it. 2) Consultation details Maybe because they do a lot of liposuction revision surgeries, they knew a lot about side-effect cases, and I felt we were on the same page about that. My biggest concern was: no banana line. That was the main thing for me (these days they even do butt fat grafting too.. hehe) Other issues like adhesions or dimpling seem like side effects that do not happen at most clinics (to be honest, I was really surprised after looking up a few cases here ㅠㅠ). Anyway, during the consultation, after I asked about things like that, even if they already knew the answer, hearing it directly from the surgeon built trust. For reference, they checked fat thickness with ultrasound and told me the estimated cc. (During consultation I was told 2,500-3,000 and they removed 3,000.) There is no consultation fee. 3) The atmosphere of the clinic (the impression of the nurses) I did not visit for very long, so I cannot know everything, but even in a short time I could read the atmosphere, and everyone was kind and the work environment seemed comfortable, which I liked. I also liked that it did not seem like there were temporary staff members who didn’t know much because the nurse had quit quickly while working. 4) Price Including the cosmetic VAT and the compression garment cost, it was in the low to mid 2 million won range.
I visited three clinics in total, and even that was a bit tiring.. so I decided, let’s just do it without overthinking! I made the reservation for the following week right away and went through with it. In my opinion, most clinics mentioned here are probably reasonably competent. Among them, if you visit a few in person and choose the one that feels right, that should be fine.
As for my condition now, one month later: I only managed my care for the first two weeks, and after that I was too busy living to keep up with it, but I’m gradually recovering. The front thighs and riding saddle area are definitely more refined, so I’m satisfied. I’ve had a fuller lower body since I was young, so it feels good that the fit of my pants has changed hehe What I wanted was to recover after surgery without dimpling or adhesions, and without sagging in the buttocks. I recovered safely without those worries, and these days I can definitely feel that the fit of my pants has changed, so I’m satisfied.ㅋㅋ That said, since I also neglected diet control and stretching exercise, I’m not expecting dramatic effects like the ones shown in blogs or review photos hehe If there’s a big change from here, I’ll do a part 2 about the recovery process after upper arm liposuction! ❤️
