The photos are in order: before surgery -> day 3 -> day 5 -> 3–4 weeks? -> 2 months? -> recent, 4–5 months
When I was researching online, I used a lot of different communities diligently... but after having surgery, I ended up not coming in much I came in after a long time and saw some people asking how I was doing, so I’m leaving a brief update
In 2019, I had the buried suture method done and paid extra for fat removal, but I don’t know if the fat removal wasn’t done properly, because my eyes looked so heavy, and my original inner double eyelid and the surgically created line overlapped, making the line shape look strange The hospital said there could be changes in swelling for up to about a year, so I waited, but even after more than a year passed, I didn’t feel any improvement, so around last October I started researching online and going to consultations again, and I had revision surgery with Dr. Lee Jung-woo, whose consultation felt the best to me
To be honest, I had been thinking of doing the revision with the buried suture method too, but after the consultation, I changed my mind, and I received an estimate for incisional revision surgery + ptosis correction + eyelid fat removal We discussed setting the line at 8 mm on the left and 7 mm on the right to balance the lines and help the line show naturally, and proceeded with the surgery in that direction
Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations Since it was a revision, I did choose carefully, but because I thought my condition before the revision surgery was the worst, I went into surgery with the mindset that no matter how poorly it went, it would probably still be better than now. But from about 1–2 weeks after surgery, I think I liked the line quite a lot The major swelling went down quickly, and the minor swelling seemed to keep going down until around 3–4 months First of all, the symmetry of the lines has improved, so I’m very satisfied with that part, and originally the area above my eyes had a strong heavy-looking feeling, but that also improved, so personally I feel like my overall impression looks younger.. haha When I was in my late 20s, people often thought I looked like I was in my early 30s, but these days they actually see me as around my mid-20s.. haha
To be honest, my eyes weren’t extremely difficult, so I think I had the surgery with a more relaxed mind than some other people getting revision surgery, but since it was still a revision surgery for me, there were emotionally difficult parts too... So even if I can’t say I understand everything, I do understand what kind of feelings people have when looking into surgery and asking for updates, so I’m rambling a bit and leaving a few words I hope only good things happen for everyone. It’s spring now, after all ^^ I hope COVID ends quickly too~
