Honestly, this was my 3rd nose surgery, so I really went into it like my life depended on it, but thankfully the residual swelling is going down well, and I feel like I may be entering the stable phase like this. I heard that after nostril-lowering surgery, you have to expect swelling to take up to 6 months to go down, but I think mine has gone down a bit quickly. The hospital said there is still some residual swelling left, so I’m going to wait a little longer!
Before this surgery, my nasal bridge was really low, so I was worried whether there would even be a chance for my bridge to become higher after surgery. My upturned nose was also severe, and I knew that upturned nose surgery is honestly a difficult procedure..
Before the splint was removed and while the cotton packing was in, I was in bad condition too, so I was worried, but once the swelling started going down, I liked my nasal bridge quite a lot, and now that the residual swelling has gone down too, I think the reactions around me have been good.
Honestly, how it looks on the outside is important too, but the reason I had been struggling all this time was nasal obstruction. My previous surgery had gone wrong, so the inside of my nose was deviated and was very blocked, but that has cleared up cleanly, so it feels like my quality of life has improved? lol
I’m still bothered by the chest scar, but the director said it starts to fade from 3 months, and since it will soon be almost 3 months, I’ll wait and see. The director said the results are better if I come in often for follow-ups anyway, and told me to come every month, so I’ll go soon and ask.
