I already went to consultations at 3 places, and even though this is my first surgery, many places said I should use autologous costal cartilage. Regardless of donated or autologous cartilage, I was wondering whether I really needed to use costal cartilage for a first surgery, but the director here confidently told me there was no need to use costal cartilage and that ear cartilage would be more than enough, which I liked. They said that even using diced ear cartilage would be enough to create a high nasal tip, so I decided to have the surgery and put down a deposit for now. I thought even getting just a consultation appointment was hard, but for reference, the surgery schedule is also extremely backed up.
